Just Leveled My Sierra Today! Have Questions!

I just lifted my Sierra and it looks awesome and the stock ride is still maintained, But I noticed the steering wheel is not straight as it used to be... The Truck is aligned and when I let go of the wheel it goes straight and when it hits bumps it goes straight too... Is the wheel supposed to be a little off? or should I have that looked at? It is off not by much maybe a inch too the left... Thanks....Phil

Here are some pics of the Leveled Ride with the New tires.....Cooper Zeon LTZ 275/60R20....

Didn't wash it yet its crappy outside......

The lift looks good. Sounds like you should take it in for an alignment though. That should correct the steering wheel issue.

Yeah, I agree, the alignment shop should be able to correct that pretty easily. Looks great. I'm about ready to do the level kit myself.

Yeah I gonna bring it back tomorrow night after work... I just called them about it a few minutes ago the manager said the tech did it incorrectly he didn't compensate for the lift and the bigger tires. The manager is experienced with lifted trucks so he will be doing the alignment personally for me. Not bad... I guess they don't want to lose business from me especially after the amount of $$$$ I just spent with them....

Thanks for the compliments... I have been debating on getting it installed but I sucked it up and went with it. Looks and rides a whole lot better. I also didn't tell the fiance so I am looking to get an ear full later tonight.... Hopefully she won't notice....

Awesome!

Let me know how those tires ride and sound. They are going to be my next set, if the reports of highway noise are acceptable

So far I drove about 70 miles on them to work at about 65-80mph the sound is acceptional. Btw the Wind Noise from my Window Guards, and Exhaust I just barely heard the tires. I only heard them a little at higher speeds at about 70 - 80mph but it's not a deal breaker.....

I doubt you will hear it man..to women the truck still looks the same. If anything the tires may be noticed if they are clean and your truck isnt.

You will like those tires, I had them on a Suburban that was traded on my Crew Cab. I had 25k on them and they were in fantastic shape. Overall I was impressed with the tire. It was an all around great performer. I even run Cooper tires on my 2500HD on the stock wheels.

Any trimming required to clear the tires? I would assume none since they are 275's.

Then your doomed! Good Luck latter on. LOL

Good Luck with the tires. I wish more people would run the Coopers they should come stock instead of the Good Year (car tires) we get on the 20"s now.

I drove all over the place with her on the weekend she didn't even notice.... LOL

I guess I was wrong.... and you where right.... She'll notice sooner or later...

Yeah and I absolutely agree the Good Year tires that come stock are crap... the truck was horrible in the winter.

I live in a very hilly neighborhood and I had a tough time even in 4 wheel drive getting around in light and deep snow. I also had a problem hydroplaning in the rain. We had some rain her in NY recently and the new tires were great... Didn't do what it used to do so that is a thumbs up in my book...

Let us know if you see a mpg change as a result of levelling.

I average about 14mpg City - 18mpg Hwy no matter how hard I drive which I believe is the rating for the truck.

I am getting 13.7 mpg City - 17mpg Hwy now which is close to what the stock spec are supposed to be,

But I have been doing more City driving than Hwy lately after I put the new tires on so that also took a toll on my MPG. I will let you know if anything changes in the next week or so.

I would figure most people wouldnt notice the change from the GoodYears to the Coopers, the Coopers look more like what you would expect on the truck. The Good Year tires that come with the factory 20"s are just out of place on the trucks.

Any thoughts on what you would do for a spare or does it not bother you that the spare is 1" smaller approximately in diameter?
