Paul Andrews, crew chief for the #1 Chevys owned by DEI, said Monday the team's regular driver, Steve Park, is still experiencing double vision from an accident in September during the BGN race at Darlington, SC. Park has not raced since then and Kenny Wallace has been driving in his place. Wallace reported to Daytona Beach this week for the three-day preseason test. Park remained in Charlotte and has another doctor visit planned. "His vision is the biggest holdup and it's just not 100 percent yet," Andrews said. "If he wasn't going to the doctor, he would probably be here at the test with us. It's been good progress, just a little slow."(That's Racin')(1-7-2002)

I'm still holding out hope he will be around for the full season this year.  I know for a fact once his vision gets back to 100% he will be in that car.
