Helo Wheel Opinions

Good morning Gentlemen,

I have been looking at wheels and different pics here on this site as well as a few others. I currently have the 20" chrome wheels that Chevy is putting on the 2009 Crew Cabs. I am okay with the wheel but would rather have something else.

I found a few Helo wheels and I have no experience with them. I have done searches all over trying to get a feel for what people think of the Helo 835 on the NNBS trucks. If they have had issues with the quality of the wheel or anything like that.

Does anyone have any idea if these wheels are as good or better possibly than the KMC XD wheels?

I have narrowed my choices down to a few styles from each brand so far. I would be using a 20x9.

As it stands its a toss up right now between the XD Hoss and the Helo 835 of course the Helo Maxx6 is always in the mix aswell. I just dont want to find out after going with a Helo wheel they arent good quality.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

btw..I cant post pics as i cant access the site at home. I am blocked from photobucket at work sorry. The truck has been leveled. I did the job last night.

Thanks, he see you are in NJ..Hopewell. Wow I am down the street from you right now in Skilman.

Hopefully he chimes in with his take on the Helo's. What I am actually concerned with was the finish. I had weld stonecrushers on my 2500hd and got so sick of polishing the bare aluminum I gave up and took them off for a while.

I want something that is more or less wash and go. maybe periodic wax and polish when I do the rest of the truck.

Yes, I do have the Helo Maxx 6's on my truck. I've only had them for about a year now, but so far I've been very happy with the durability.

I had Helo wheels on my 07 Titan. I hated the truck and sold it. A friend of mine still has it and they are holding up well over 2 years later.

Thanks for the replies, these are the 835's the ones I was looking at. I had narrowed down to this one and the Hoss from XD both similar styles. I was worried about getting a wheel then finding out the hard way it pits or goes bad quickly.

The 791 from Helo is the second option and also a very nice looking wheel.

Mine were 18s with BFG All Terains on them (don't remember the size) and they balanced perfectly and never gave any problem. I'd feel safe buying from them.

I actually only had that truck for four months. Shortest time I ever had a new vehicle.

Ouch that is short! Hope you didnt get to beat up on that one. My brother went to a Ford and that lasted 3 years and he took a beating on that. I have held with the GM trucks. The only time I didnt was in college..had a Nisan Sentra.

I did OK actually... but not because I was smart. Luckily a friend wanted the truck and paid me good money for it. Otherwise I would have probably been screwed.
