Doesn't make much sense to me....

1.  Why not let Lepage finish the season, he's already there and used to it.  Why bring in someone new for only a few more races, when you know they won't be there next year.

Which brings me to...

2.  Doesn't seem very logical to hire MIKE SKINNER to drive a car for you when ROBBY GORDON wasn't good enough for you at the beginning of the year, since GORDON is replacing SKINNER.  But then again nothing Morgan-McClure does makes much sense.

From Yahoo Sports :

Hamilton Jr. to finish year for Morgan-McClure

October 1, 2001

ABINGDON, Va. (AP) -- Bobby Hamilton Jr. will drive Morgan-McClure Motorsports' Winston Cup car for the rest of the season, replacing Kevin Lepage.

Team owner Larry McClure made the announcement Monday.

Lepage, who replaced Robby Gordon early in the season, was set to leave the team at the end of the year.

Hamilton, whose father drove the car from 1998-00, will attempt to qualify for this week's race in Charlotte, N.C. Hamilton has three career Winston Cup starts, all this year as a replacement for the injured Joe Nemechek.

I don't know why anybody would want Mike Skinner in their car period.  LOL  But dumping Lepage at this point in the season makes on sence to me.  Only thing I can think of is that Bobby Hamilton is still good friends with the 4 team, and talked them into letting his son get some experience in Winston Cup.  Don't know how logical that is, but its all I could think of....
