I am Looking for a GM trifold cover ,

I tried a soft extang trifold cover ,but I wasnt 100% satisfied with the fit

but like the ease of use & install but I think I want a hard trifold cover .

Is anyone using the Gm Hard trifold ,hi gloss black bedcover .

Its in the new gm accessories catalog apperently .

Just want to know if its same as extang , in the way it attaches .

How it fits ? Looks ? Any Pics ?

Are you happy with it ?

Gm PN 19159586

thanks

I was thinking that Gm accessories should fit very well & look good

Some aftermarket covers are just too complicated with rails & rollers & stuff .

Really cant give up any box space with a roller cover as truck is a crewcab shortbox

There aint much box lenght there to begin with .

I know that I have to remove cover to put toys in the box anyway .

But I also want cover thats EZ to remove but also look good when on .

Do you know if the finnish on the cover is shiney smooth glossy or a pebbled matte look.

there is also a premium cloth hard top trifold ?

so 2 choices ?????????which one ????

I have the Extang soft tri fold and I love it, fast to put on, easy to remove, folds up in -40 and keeps my bed completely dry even if I hose down seems with the pressure washer. I think it's great.

I've seen the hard trifolds they sit even with the box and have a matte finish if you are talking about the ones I've seen.

I agree the extang soft trifold was probally exactly what I needed .Price was right

i have the gm bedrail protectors on & It left a less than ideal seal on the ft leading edge of the box .

So the cover puffed up a bit at highway speeds , also i was really checking it out when flying down the road .

I am sure no normal person would have noticed as they are looking forward when driving at hiway speeds .

Me ,I am looking at the boxcover out the rearview mirror .

No matter what ,I will need some kind of plastic crossrail cover for the ft of the box

to bring the ft edge of whatever cover i choose level with the sides & rear tailgate cap.

To ensure a good seal .

thats what made me return the extang & look for a hard trifold .

I know extang makes one in hardtrifold.

Hoping that the gm one is exact same thing .

Real curious what Gms premium cloth looks like?

Real curious what Gms premium cloth looks like?

I have the GM black trifold. I'm really happy with it, but I've only had it for a week. I like the way the thing goes on and off without leaving tracks or hardware. I have an over-the-rail LineX, and it looks like it seals well. The color is like any black vinyl cover. I ordered the cloth cover, but the dealer ordered both, and when it came down to it, this black cover matched the LineX well. I didn't even see the cloth cover. The latches are like the Extang, but the front latches have locking tabs. The cover is hard plastic, with a metal frame, and the premium vinyl cover is loose on top. It'll ride in the folded position without removal, and provides some degree of security with a locking tailgate - what I was really after.

I have the exact same cover which was just installed.

I don't have bed rail covers however.

If GM bed rail covers are installed; would this cover leak?

Does anybody have the same combo?
