Grinding Noise

Hi,

 

I changed my oil this evening and when I turned off the engine I heard a grinding noise. The noise initially is rather loud and sudden but then trickles down.

 

Any ideas on what could be causing this. I'm headed out on a road trip in the morning but I don't want to drive if this could be dangerous.
