Painting Engine Cover

I am wanting to paint my engine cover...I was wondering what type of paint to use? Do i need high temp primer, paint, clear? I was looking at some Krylon Plastic paint at the store, but the back says only good for 120 degrees....

 

I just dont want ito use the wrong stuff, and have it crack, and go all to hell...If anyone has some suggestions...thanks

all the pics come up blank with little X's, don't know if you changed where they're located or if I'm just not doing something right. really would like to see how it turned out.

thanks man...good pics, thanks for the material list...its raining today so not going to do anything...Went to Autozone and got all the materials, and I got my hillbilly paint booth all setup ready to go.

No problem. 05silvy, When I originally posted the pics. Most could see them and some could not? I believe it has something to do with the browser settings?

I painted mine and used Plasitkote engine enamel. I cleaned the parts to be painted really well and did not use any primer if I remember correctly. It has been painted for over 2 years now with no peeling or fading.
