Vmax Opinions

Going to go look at a nnbs 07 vmax tomorrow. Looking for any opinions or thoughts on the 6.0l. I had a 03 2500hd with the 6.0l, and liked the engine but this one is not quite the same engine. So if there's any other people with vmaxs let me know how you like them. Also wondering about mpg. I got about 12 with my 03 4x4 6.0l and presently get about 16 with my nnbs 4x4 07.

I love mine!!

I get around 14-15 around town,and can get 16-17 hwy. "if" I stay out of the throttle.

One word of advice.....Get it Black Bear tuned!!! GM has these VMAX's so held back by their "torque management" and the throttle delay is so bad that sometimes you'll think your driving a V6!!

I love my vmax... awesome engine. I average 14-15 around town and 17-18 highway. I don't run it easy either... As mentioned, the torque management is horrible on these newer Vmax's and with a programmer or tune.... its night and day how well they run.

I'd recommend it anyday.

Yeah,I wasn't sure what he was talking about there at first...took awhile for me to get it!!

I'm tired tonight,And I'm going back down to Charlotte early tomorrow morning for the 600 this weekend,so I need to get some sleep!!!

I had a VMAX with 4.10 gears and I loved it! Even with the nannies, the engine felt powerful. I have a very heavy foot, so I got 9.8 MPG.

Thanks for the info guys. Test drove a vmax saturday. WOW! I could really tell a difference between the 6.0 and 5.3 that I have. I can't imagine if it were tuned a take the management off. The only problem was I drove 2.5 hours to look at a truck that was abused beyond belief. The salesman at the stealership said it was "mint". I should've known better. I am all for using a truck for the very purpose of a truck but this thing was rode hard and put away soaking. Just trying to compare it to my truck that is also an 07 mine looked like it just came off the line. I found out that the truck was leased by a flooring company. Neadless to say I walked away from the saleman that was speachless becouse he thought that he had a sold truck.

Well thanks for the info and I'm going to keep looking for a vmax, but these trucks are hard to find around me.
