Buzz Rumor

My aunt saw a show car (the #92 Exedrin car) and got to talkin with the "attendant" and he said there's a buzz (Hot rumor) in Charlotte among the "Insiders" of Nascar that Dale Jr. will be permanently in a #3 Black Goodwrench car in WC sometime in the near future.

Maybe this has to do with Elliott Sadler to DEI?

I doubt we will see Dale Jr in a #3 Goodwrench car.  He has said multiple times that he wants to drive his car, not his dad's.  He said driving a black Goodwrench car at special events (like the Winston) would be cool, but not on a regular basis.  I also can't see Budweiser letting such a popular driver out of his contract.....

Richard Childress, who owns the rights to the #3 in Nascar Winston Cup, has stated that we will NEVER again see a BLACK #3 as long as he owns the #.

Dale Jr. has already raced ( and won) a #3 Oreo car in the NBS, and is scheduled to run the #3 in another Busch race. I believe that you will see a Nabisco / Nilla Wafer car.

Childress also said in an interview at DEI on Monday for Dale Earnhardt Day that the only way we would ever see a #3 car again was if it was on an Earnhardt car.  As he said he smiled kind of knowingly, and the crowd went nuts.

I wonder if Jr. has had a change of heart.  Maybe it's the only way they can keep NASCAR from letting the number go to someone else or something.

I seriously doubt that jr will run a #3 espically a black goodwrench.  He said that he wants to run a #8 b/c that was his grandpa's number and thats what he was known for.

I don't believe either side of this rumor until I see it myself.

I hardly believe anything about NASCAR unless I hear it straight from the horses mouth. Sometimes I can't believe that niether.

Case in point, Andy Houston. One  night he was on the speed channel's "Inside Winston cup" telling  everybody how he's gonna be in the #92 Exedrin car forthe full season and hoping to get some wins. Then the exact next day I hear "Houston out, Todd Bodine in."
