Newbie Needs Vin Number Help

Hi All,

I'm brand-new to this forum and need some help please. I have a 2003 Silverado 5.3 with 159,000 miles on the clock. About a year ago, I began having to fill the coolant reservoir once a week. Changed out the water pump, but never saw any leaks or puddles under the truck. Lately I'm having to fill it twice a week. I finally discovered both heads are cracked and leaking coolant through the oil drainback holes into the sump. The engine still runs good, but now sludge build-up is affecting my oil pressure and I'm afraid the engine is on it's last legs.

Anyhow, I found a 5.3 engine and tranny for sale and I'm not sure what Vortec animal it is. I don't want to buy something that would be a difficult swap into my truck. All I know is the guy who has it told me it came from a late model Avalanche. Can anyone here please run a VIN build sheet report and post the engine results? The VIN number is: 3GNEC12067G303152. It is from an 07 Avalanche that was apparently stolen. Salvage title and made in Mexico. 5.3L

Thanks for the info. but I need some more engine details. Some of the 5.3's came with the Active Fuel Management option. I'm not sure I could adapt it to my 03 truck. Code sticker on backside of engine is 'CFA'. Thanks for any and all responses.
