Those Who Swapped Hd Mirrors On Nnbs 1500

Switching from standard NNBS 1500 mirrors to the HD tow/camper mirrors, how much longer are they per side (when not extended) than the standard mirrors?

You are looking at about an extra 4-5 inches sticking out. The biggest change is the height that the new mirrors take, and they are a large blind spot when driving. But they are sweet for towing.

If you tow at all you'll want them I just switched mine out and wish I had done it sooner.

Can't agree more with the above posts.

I've been towing for a number of years and those stupid 'clip-on' tow mirrors....well, they can not compare to proper tow mirrors.

It's worth upgrading.

Has anyone ever added the extendable mirrors that some of the HD's come with to a 1500. That might be a good alternative

I too am wondering how much longer the tow mirrors are when IN. I know they will extend out a few inches. I am trying to decide if the truck will still fit in the garage, I have about 5 inches on each side. Will a set of 2500 tow mirrors fit on a 1500? Does anyone have part #'s? BTW, I have a 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 EXT CAB New Body Style. Currently I have teh CIPA tow mirrors, and I hate the double glass when towing. I have towed with the extending mirrors before on different trucks, and would much rather tow with them then the clip ons like I have now.

Is the drivers side suppose to stick out a 1 1/2 " futher than the passanger side?This push all the way in.
