6.0 With A Manual

ok well i just totaled my 05 half ton and need to replace it. I don't want a diesel 1 because of cost and 2 to tempting to put a programmer on it lol..... But anyways please don't turn this into a diesel topic.

 

anyways does anybody have any exp. with the 6.0 with a stick. how does it perform?

MPG? Highway and Towing

Does it run pretty good(pretty fast)??

anything else you can think of?

There was a dark Charcoal 02 2500HD extended cab short box at Silverthorne auto(?) in Ontario last fall. Was real nice save for a crease in the rear quarter panel. Found a few others up this way but they aren't too common. Be ready to do lots of scouring.

I have an '01 reg cab, long bed, 6.0, 2500HD with an NV4500 5-spd. 1st gear is un-usable save for a very heavy trailer so it's really a 4-spd for all practical purposes. Have replaced the slave cylinder 3x's, the lube for it is a "dealer only" item. I have 187K on it. OE clutch is still tight. The 8.1's and the D-max's had a 6-spd available in '02 BTW

1st/ compound in my truck is great for getting the camper backed in place. Easier than any auto I've used. Wish they put the same tranny in the half tons with a small block, that would be fun.
