Bench Bleeding Master Cylinder

Recommended Posts

Posted

I am just curious about the process of bench bleeding the master cyl in my truck. The kit it comes with just has two plugs for the ports. It does not have the "tube" type bleeding procedure where the fluid is allowed to flow out of the ports and back into the top of the MC.

Is this the best way to do this? Does this get all the air out? Should I buy a tube type kit?

Thanks (1995 GMC Surburban K1500)

Any time I've bought a master cylinder it's always had the bleeding kit with the tubes included,Might be someone robbed from yours.Keep lots of rags handy, for some reason as much as I try to be neat I always end up making a mess.Brake fluid is the one fluid on a truck/car I truly hate....
