91 Vs 94

So here is my question that I have been wondering ever since I got my tune and was looking for some help. I have a 04 gmc with a 91 octane tune in it. Up until 2 weeks ago I have been running 91 oct from shell Canada. The last 2 weeks (1 tank) I have been running husky 94 octane that they sell at the same price. My question is what you guys would run. The shell states there prem is an ethanol free gas then in the smallest letters they could print "where available" so I am pretty much assuming that it does contain some ethanol. Now the husky prem state up to 10% ethanol so I am assuming they have a full ten percent in it. So my question is what do you think is the most bang for your buck. The shell gas 91 that could be anywhere from 0-10% or the husky 94 that is pretty much a giving 10%. Thanks and yes I did a search but could not find anything specific.

Both fuels will contain up to 10%. The 94 octane obviously has a higher octane rating. I'd go with it simply because of lower price. As far as performance the 94 octane will allow for more performance.

I've experienced that when octane ratings are equal a fuel blended with ethanol will perfrom better than non ethanol blended fuel, despite having lower miles per gallon.

right on thats what I was thinking. I just wanted to make sure I was not driving 4 klm more for husky rather then around the corner for shell and getting the same thing.

to me it seems to run better on 94 but I think it might be in my head. Next fill I will check my scan guage and see if I do better then 18.6 mpg.
