Rear Springs

I have a new style 2007 1500 crew cab and discovered a broken spring in the back(middle leaf). Is this a common thing in the newer style? My truck has all highway miles on it so it is not abused from offroading and I have not had any heavy payloads...just thought I would see if anyone else has had that problem...

 

Also any issues with faulty wheel sensors for the traction control? I have one that is giving me a problem and I was going to try and see if it was dirty and reinstall. Advice I got from someone but I will probably have to bite the bullet and buy a new one.

Not herd anything about broken springs but I have been told that the TPMS in the wheels wear out and need to be rebuilt/replaced from time to time. The Tire Shop guys will try and get you to replace them everytime you get new tires, not sure how often it needs to be done.
