Brakes And Exhaust

i have a 07 gmc 1500 with a 6.0 extended cab it has a trailering package

my question is do i have heavy duty brakes or standard?

and for the exhaust im trying to get an aftermarket exhaust but i cant seem to find a kit for an exteneded cab with a 6.0 do i just order one for a crew cab are they the same

The brakes are not going to be considered "heavy duty"

 

As far as exhaust,I don't why your having a hard time finding one,Just about all of us on here have some kind of aftermarket system,especially those of us with extended-cab/6.0's.

i was trying to order brakes off autoanything.com and the ones for a 07 1500 it asks for either heavy duty or standard and they are about an inch bigger for the heavy duty ones

Do you have a GMT800 or a GMT900 truck? They had both for '07,You need to make sure the correct truck application is typed-in.

Also they might ask you for your brake option code (IE-JB7,or JF9) this would be the best way to make sure you get the correct brakes.

i have a 900 and on their site it says new body style 1500 and then you have your choice between standard and heavy duty thats all it says so i don't wanna order the wrong ones you know if you have a better site to order from that you know of ill check that out

Hmm,Don't know,I tried looking up brakes and they didn't ask me HD or not,But I'd say non-HD on the GMT900 1/2-tons.

I can give you your brake RPO code if you post the last eight digits of your VIN.

OK,I saw where they ask for HD or non-HD,Your gonna' want non-HD for sure,Looks like the HD there talking about would be a GMT800 "1500HD" truck that they had out that had a GVWR of 8600lbs.

do you have a recommendation on which pads are better

OK,You have the same brakes as mine,RPO code "JD9" (4-WHEEL ANTILOCK DISC BRAKES) they wouldn't be considered HD.

HAWK's are highly recommended by a lot of guys!

I would also maybe give them a call just to make sure your getting the correct ones,couldn't hurt.
