Rear Driveline Noise

08 Silverado Crew Cab 4x4 15000 miles. Truck makes a clunking sound when driving at slow speeds when pulling in and out of driveway or making turns and usually when stoping and starting. Had it in dealership today they said it was because of the Truxx leveling kit Ive got installed on it but im pretty sure it made the noise prior to the kit. what do i do. Truck has never been offroad.

Take the leveling kit off and take it back to them.

 

Most cases if you have the G80 locker, the clutches make noise. It really pisses me off when a dealership says "oh the (fill in the blank) caused the problem" When in reality they didn't even look at it cause it's modified. Just their way of trying to get out of warranty work.

 

The leveling kit should be easy enough to remove, then re-install once a problem has been found.
