Source for Service Manuals?

Hi all,

 

I'm looking for an outfit that would sell me a GM Factory Service manual for a 2002 K1500 Avalanche.

 

I know of the order telephone number in the back of the owner's manual, but want to know if there is a discount source for this.

AFAIK no discount source exists for the factory manuals. Believe me, I've looked just about everywhere on the web with no luck. One idea that I haven't followed thru on yet is to try one of the larger gm dealer websites such as "gmpartsdirect"(?) or www.sdpc2000.com or www.salle-chevrolet.com. Alternatively, if you're on good terms with your local gm parts person or know someone who has a biz account with them you might be able to get a bit of a discount in that way.
