what tires have you replaced the GY Eagle LS2s with, and, are you happy with your choice?

I am more interested in a street tire, than an AT...(never/rarely go off road)

Frank,

I can't say I've put these on a truck, but I bought the new Goodyear Eagle GT (and they are all new) for my wife's Infinity I30. Very nice for handling. I can't say if they are good for wear. Goodyear Eagle GT's of the past never did give me that great of wear, but then, I drove hard on all of them in the past. I read a little about the new GT's and there was plenty of praise by the farfegnugen crowd and some tests in magazines.

I'm running Yokahama Parada Spec-X's on mine. I have no complaints. Good traction, wet or dry.. They haven't seen "that slick stuff" much. So, I can't really say much about how they do in ice & snow..

I'm running the stock Bridgestone Dueler Alenza H/L's in the summer and Goodyear Fortura Triple Tread on my winter 20's. I loved the Goodyears last winter. Michelin LTX M/S is my favorite SUV/Truck highway tire. Consistently got 75-80-K out of them and they are quiet with good handling. I just think the Michelins are priced too high to justify IMO

yes this is a good question i was wondering the same as i haven't rotated my tires or anything due to i hate them and i have a plug in too of them both since about 600 miles and they now have 27xxx on them.

I had Kumha STX and they were an awesome tire...but..... I only got about 26,000 miles out of them. I might of been able to get about 30,000 but I found a great deal on the cooper zeons.

They were quiet on the road, gripped very well in rain/snow but they weren't a mud tire at all. And the in the snow, they were only good for about 1"... after that nothing...

It seems to be trendy to always knock what the factory puts on, but these LS2's have very good manners. They're quiet, ride fairly well, and provide a fair bit of grip. The Michelin LTX should be high on your list. Other than off-roading and heavy snow, they pretty much excell in every other catagory.

Ride should be at the forefront since 20's tend to transmit a lot of bumps up into the cab. I find myself dodging manhole covers all the time now.

I have 43K on my original GY's and they still have some tread on them. I rotate them every 2 oil changes and check the air pressure once a month. When I put a guage on them, they still have quite a bit of tread on them. When they wear out, I'm going with the same tire. I've had a good experience. I like the Michelins, just not the price.

For a street tire, I don't have any complaints with the OEM GY's either. I'm looking for an all-terratin which is the only reason I'll go with something else when it's time to replace them. If I wanted to keep a street tire, I would probably give consideration to these again.

I agree x2 ^^^^.

Generally, I like the GYs. Even last winter in the "white death", they had excellent traction and did very well IMHO.

43k ... that's impressive. I have around 27k on mine, and, I am not thinking that 43k is in the cards, though hard to say right now. I am guessing another 10-15k, but, we'll see.

I will research the Michelins as well. Haven't looked, but it seems like everyone agrees they are very expensive.
