This Weekend's Latest Project

So I finally received the correct color headrests I needed so I could commence the surgery. I've had a couple of headrest monitor bouncing around in in a box in my basement for a few years now. I bought them for previous SUV (Nissan Xterra) and never had a chance to install them. My son is getting a little older now (16 mo.) and keeping him happy in the truck for longer than a 10 min ride is next to impossible. He's fine in the wife's minvan provided we put some cartoons on for him, on the factory fold down screen. I already have 2 7" LCDs in the dash of my Silvy but he was breaking his neck trying to see around the back of the passenger seat. Long story short... I had the monitors so might as well install them...

Only thing was, I hate to cut up my truck without having a replacement piece at the ready to install at a moments notice if I need to. (I know I'm fickled) The first set of headrests I bought didn't match. (Actually trying to resell them now). I just recieved the 2nd set this past weekend lucklily they were correct so I got to work.

Took about an hour to get the monitors mounted in the headrests and another hour or so to run the wires through the seatbacks and hook everything up.

Here are a few of pics. Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks

B

you just can't beat a classic Grady

Especially when it's not yours! :) The Grady is my buddy's... He pays all the bills, I take advantage of it all summer, and all I have to do is tow it to and from the boat slip twice a year and supply the beer! :cheers"

ONLY THING BETTER THAN OWNING A BOAT IS HAVING A CLOSE FRIEND THAT OWNS A BOAT! WOOHOO!

Good job man, looks like a professional install. Very nice. That's probably something I'll have to get done in the future. But I doubt I'd trust myself to make it look good enough to keep me happy. :P

Thanks Wayne! That's why you have to look for a 2nd set of headrests on eBAy like I did. That way if you screw it up, no harm no foul... :P
