Radiator for 88 Chevy? Please Help

Hello,

  I need a new radiator for my 1988 chevy truck. It has a 305 and an

automatic tranny. The core measures 28 1/4" x 17 1/4 x 1 3/8". I have

found 2 different models of radiators for my truck. One has a STD

tranny oil cooler and the other has a HD tranny oil cooler. I use an

external aftermarket tranny cooler as well.  I know the core is the

same on these two radiators but I am wondering if the ends of the

radiators are the same (the part of the radiator that mounts in the

brackets.)  Do both radiators have the same dimensions so they will

both fit in my mounts?  Thanks for your time..................Lumpy

I'm not sure about your radiator question, but some of the guys here with similar trucks may be able to help you out.

My friend replaced the one in his '90 Silverado with a 4-core radiator out of a junk yard.  I think the only problem was the fan shroud had to be cut a little...  I don't know if this helps very much though.
