Options or Suggestions - Upgrading Speakers

I have a 98 Single Cab GMC K1500 that still had the factory speakers that were blown by the previous owner. I want a system to go in it that will bump exceptionally loud. I really don't wanna go over an 8'' subwoofer but will take all considerations. The speakers will be going under the seats and the amp will go underneath the middle seat. (I have a bench seat) And I don't wanna spend more than 200 or 250 for the whole set up. Any suggestions or opinions will be greatly appreciated!

$200 wont get you much in the "bass head" world. You might want to head to an audio shop and get an estimate of what custom boxes they can build you for the 8in woofers you want. Word of advise though, get the woofers you want or have them suggest a woofer for use in a small enclosure and work it from there. They an also help match the amp to your woofers. As for regular door speakers, there are many good brands, Polk, Infinity, Pioneer (Premiums), Kicker, etc. You can get a five or even six channel amp and power four door speakers and a sub or two and have it sound really good! If you go that route, buy two or four tweeters and run them to your head unit. For an overall awesome system, use tweeters, mid rangers in the doors and sub(s) for the lows, that will give you an awesome system as long as you supply all the corrects wattage to the speakers. Good Luck!
