That is one sweet truck... (until now I thought I had the best looking truck on GM-Trucks.com)2 points

6" ProComp Lift, N-Fab cab length steps, N-Fab Rear Runner and N-Fab Front Light Bar, Rigid Industries led lights, Bak Industries G2 cover, Undercover SwingCase, Nitto Trail Grapplers, 20" Moto Metal wheels. First Chevrolet and so far so good, having fun. I have been utilizing this forum since I got this Silverado and really appreciate all the great posts that have helped me out. Finally felt like I should try to get involved and help out others as well.2 points

Hey I think you are looking for the bulk head seal. I got mine at advance auto parts it's about 3/4" wide and maybe 3/8" thick. Your bed rails are higher than your bulk head, the seal makes up the difference.2 points

Here you go N-Fab Rear Runner gloss black. Mounted up some Rigid Industries Dually Floods, these things are amazing. I did relocated my license plate to the Rear Runner, in the stock location it was too blocked for me to feel comfortable. Off Road Only makes a cool LiteDot Plate Light to keep my plate lit up, don't need any additional reasons for an officer to take a closer look.1 point

Looking for tires for my 2014 z71 with the 3.5inch zone combo lift kit. Undecided what I want for tires and what will work. so far I have found most common 275/70r18. Are there any other bigger sizes that would work with my setup before I pull the trigger? Thanks a bunch.1 point

This is what I was trying to describe. I've also seen this type of seal or molding at Home Depot used for pickup truck topper seal.1 point

Haven't gotten them on the highway yet. I'll post back tomorrow after I get home from work.1 point

How do you figure it can't haul anything? I've haul stuff with lowered trucks in the past, and in some cases they performed better then the stock counterpart. I use to haul my Drag truck to the track with a lowered 97 sierra, it did great. As I see it lowering a truck can make it easy to get things in and out of the bed too, depending on what you need to get in the bed, such as a motorcycle (less of an angle to go up). Lowering a truck doesn't necessarily alter it's capacity, in most cases it just alters it's ride height…1 point

Having read through this full thread, and never having owned a tonneau cover before, I have to conclude that this whole tonneau business is run like a cottage industry - products of questionable quality, resellers who are mostly mom and pop shops. Lucky to get something that does not leak etc. Quite disappointing really. I just ordered the TonnoPro Hard cover and the Bedrug... keeping my fingers crossed I get my order and its not defective.1 point

28 now, 29 next month. I trained myself in my single digit years to resist impulse purchases and set goals with my allowance from chores. 5 bucks a week took a long time to buy the next $50-60 Mario game or box of baseball cards so I guess that helped too. When I first bought the house I was eating ramen 3 times a week. It was that or sell this: I later did sell it, though, when I got married. It helped erase the wife's student loans, and took a chunk of the mortgage too. It was a beast. Had a pro built 383 that was painted to look like a stock 350 block, and had some expensive ProTopLine heads, which were apparently so amazing the company was bought out by a big player soon after releasing them(what I was told in a Camaro forum when I asked about them). Ryan, take note of this: My only regret is I didn't drive it more.1 point

Just finished a 3100 mile road trip, driving was either 80mph interstate or stop and go traffic, or mountainous terrain in the Smoky Mountains. Had an average of 19.1 mpg for the whole trip. I'm satisfied! Mike1 point
