I definitely need this with my lifted silverado. When I park in parking spaces it feels like I am about to drive over them then get out and theres four feet of room between me and the other car lol2 points

Today got the warning chimes...every few seconds. No warning indicators, open and closed the doors, unbuckled and rebuckled the seatbelts...even checked the passenger sensing (put body in and removed from seat) with no luck. Shut the truck down for 20 minutes and it hasn't repeated.1 point

Mine just came in .I will be doing the install this weekend. I have the Non Bose system and think it sounds pretty good at moderate volume levels . So I am just looking for a little extra volume and a bit of thump. This should fit the bill and its Plug and play.1 point

The only warranty they can void is for your suspension components. ie if your suspension breaks, they can't and won't do anything under GM warranty since it's not GM parts. But if your fuse box somehow shorts how and ruins all the fuses in there then they still have to fix it unless they can somehow prove that it's linked to the suspension lift. Like Steven said, any dealer I've seen also has just purchased some aftermarket tuner and used that. Then they'll give it to you. I'd say just get a custom tune to fix it or shop for a tuner that you like to do it yourself.1 point

I did this video quite a while ago. I bake headlights now but am not opposed to cutting as I have been doing it for over a decade now. Lol. Anyhow, this video shows how to remove the lights. Hope it helps.1 point

I think so as well, though i just would rather have this design. Unfortunately method doesn't have an anthracite coating yet. Though their matte black looks grey depending on the lighting. I'll think i'll be fine with black though might have them powder coated anthracite. I feel like anthracite or a darker shaded silver that doesn't have such a metallic sheen to it like the stock chrome wheels goes well with Iridium.1 point

My 2014 had vibration in gas pedal and steering wheel the vibration in the wheel has gone away at 14000 miles the gas pedal still has some but way better then it was the biggest complaint I have is the shake or vibration I get in my seat and center console. Some times it will come and go sometime it will not stop let off the gas, floor it,switch lanes it won't stop. It seems that when it's not doing it all the time it will start up when going around a turn on the high way go for a lil then settle down start up slowly and get worse then peaks out and goes away and starts all over again it's hard to say but after playing around with it going over the same road 5min later the same speed and it didn't do it I'm begging to think its bad harmonics it changes by gas leave and my truck gets worse with a load in the bed and gets better with weight in the cab I can't even haul my dirtbike with out it shaking my off witch is bs going down the highway when two vibration are insync then fall out of sync that would causes the vibration there are vibration waves that run up and down the frame I think if they could find away to deaden the frame some how it may help but I'm not a engineer I may be all wrong with harmonics but that's why they tell us there is no fix for it Im just trying to get different ideas from others on this issue I have drove 3 2015s 2 of the 3 didn't shake the seat or console but the gas pedal and wheel still have it I would think that would get better as mine did1 point

I ordered these in Feb as I knew they would be releasing soon. Got lucky as my tire place thought they would be back ordered another 6 weeks near end of March when they were originally expecting them, then they showed up the next day. Rims are black and machined black I believe, color seems to change a little depending on the light1 point

Keep it respectful please. Also, it's generally a poor decision to report someone for being a jerk than shortly after making a rude post yourself.1 point

Ok, I am new to this site but as a GM tech who has been pushed too far, its time the truth came out! I know for a fact in the northeast, there is a service bulletin #PI056E: and its titled wax coating on frame peeling, metal shows corrosion/ rusting. this covers 2011-2015 GM full frame vehicles. 2011-2015 cadillac Escalade models 2011-2014 Chevy Avalanche 2011-2015 chevy Express, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe 2011-2015 GMC Savana, Sierra, Yukon What the dealerships dont want you to know is the info i have provided, if your vehicle has rust issues just head to your GM dealer of choice and tell them you see premature rusting on the frame and would like it taken care of. and im sure like any good sleazy GM dealership they will feed you a line of BS, but just tell them that bulletin number and they are required to fix the vehicle at GM's expense plus give you a GM paid rental for the duration of the repair.(which by the way takes at least 4 days) If there are any questions feel free to contact me, knowledge is power use it or loose it!1 point

The whole thing is very simple. Someone at GM put in a suggestion that they could save a bunch of money by deleting painting of frames after they are made. But raw carbon steel will rust quickly, especially if some of those frames are stacked outdoors at some supplier facility before shipped to the GM truck assembly plants. So they apply the wax spray or undercoating to rusty frames and it does not stick and peels off quickly. What you see is the rust that was already on the frame when the truck was assembled at the factory. I mentioned before that I bought a new differential cover from my Chevy dealer for my Silverado and the new cover was made of raw unpainted stamped steel and already had rust spots on it in the plastic bag. Imagine how quickly a frame will rust if unpainted and left outdoors for a while. The sad thing is that GM most likely rewards those who put in all kinds of dubious suggestions to save money more than it rewards people who improve the design and quality.1 point
