Well, I'm officially an idiot. So after buying a borescope that connects to my phone via USB and taking all the vents off and searching in the ducts, it turns out there was no coin in any of the them. I had my daughter and wife take turns sitting in the middle seat and listen while I shook the truck side to side. After a few turns listening, their opinion of where the sound was coming from changed to up above. So I decided to take the panel off the top console not expecting to find anything. Instead, I found a loose screw rolling around. I felt like such a fool lol. I could've swore my daughter put a coin in there because at that same time I had stopped her from dropping a candy wrapper down there. Plus, she was playing with some loose change I had in the console. So I owed her a big apology with an ice cream lol. Sorry if I left some of you in suspense for how I got the coin out lol.4 points

Installed 5100 Bilsteins with 2" Level and 305/55R20 Nitto Terra Grappler G2. The ride is better than Stock which was really good, this thing is super smooth and quiet quiet quiet! I also added 8mm spacers to ensure no rub and I did not have to trim anything. One thing I think folks need to consider is doing a performance balance on their tires and I am absolutely not talking about Roadforce. We took Static down to under .05oz and Dynamic to under .10oz a tire and this thing rides like butter. I am super happy with this set-up!2 points

Hi, I'm trying to find a solution to what might be a relatively unique problem. I tinted the front windows ('16 gmc) and at night, when taking a corner, especially into dark residential areas when it's raining, I can't see well enough. I'd like to add some light specifically to lead me into corners. I'm happy to spend whatever it takes within reason. Seems like the fogs might be a decent spot but none of the light bars look like they would fit and center grill seems like they would be too recessed. Not really rallying my truck and would prefer something a bit more stealth so above cab seems out of the question. Any suggestions? Cheers, HS1 point

Just for reference....recalls are reserved for issues that are deemed to potentially compromise safety. Wireless charging hardly qualifies. You can probably bark up the right tree long enough and loud enough to get GM to give you a module as a goodwill gesture. I tried for a while and got tired of having to re-explain the issue to every single person I spoke to and they just kept referring to the "approved devices" list anyway. I just spent the 100 bucks and bought my own module. Been happily charging ever since!1 point

Phil let me know when you have an adapter available again. Whether I get a 2018 module out of pocket or under warranty this will definitely be replaced. This should honestly be a recall for our trucks, very dishonest to advertise something and to become aware it isn't working and then even try to cover it up with an "Approved Devices" list post date.1 point

I finally swapped my chrome door moldings out for painted ones after putting it off for the last 2+ years haha. Went ahead and removed the Sierra badges as well. Side note: That tape on the lettering is no joke to get off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Ebay seems to be a good route for most, but there's always the risk of getting screwed. I took a gamble on one labeled as a sierra cluster, but the part number and vehicle fitment was for a denali. It came and it was from a denali. The cluster was like, really dirty, I was a little skeptical that chris would say it didn't work or something (always my luck). But, says shipped so hopefully all is well. If you hunt, you can find them. Also Yukons for the same year work, just confirm with chris if you are concerned. I found my cluster for $100, but it seems the going rate is around $200. The only thing I can't seem to find is another lens. I guess I'll have to carefully take off my old one. I dont think they sell the lens seperate, but I could be mistaken. if anyone has that part number please share!!1 point

I installed remote start on my truck, I believe that as long a you have remote locks already the remote start kit will work. Be aware though you will have to have the bcm and fobs programmed by the dealership. Sent from my LGLS991 using Tapatalk1 point

When I had a 20” and 2 led pods on each side behind my grill the 2 pods were angled off to the side like the guy above. I loved them for the fall, I could see deer waiting 10-20 yards off the road because the angled lights were covering the shoulders well. I have since “downgraded” to a 32” and wish i had that shoulder coverage.1 point

Sometimes it is a battery/wiring issue. You might check those first to ensure good connections. As far as towing vs driving, that's your call and your money (potentially). I would like to say that this should be covered under the powertrain, but we know how stealerships work. Good luck.1 point

Because they are misinformed. I have a 6.5" Zone and I am running stock 20" wheels just fine with no spacers required. Tell them to install the lift and put your wheels on. Then look at them and say, "You're welcome."1 point

I understand your feelings and point of view. However, in high schools it is somewhat common where I live to see the s.a.d.d. and m.a.d.d. community, bring in wrecked vehicles similar to the pictured also in homecoming parades, to send a clear message to our youth that drinking and driving is not ok. Unfortunately, distracted driving is the same result. Our youth has to understand what can happen driving a 5,000lb loaded gun. Pictures are worth more than 1000 words. Many times it is members of sadd, and madd, who have lost a family member, that provide that vehicle to help educate the rest of us. These pictures do influence some kids not to drink, or text on the phones, etc. If that could save a family from going through this pain, why not? Also I believe the red that is below the drivers door is part of the taillight from directly above, not blood if that's what you were trying to imply? Just another perspective from someone who has lost people that we love in car wrecks.1 point
