  1. 900 miles on a truck that needs around 1500-2000 miles for all of the transmission adapt tables to get sorted out. My 2016 All Terrain had firm shifts and weird shifts as well, they pretty much went away by around 1500 miles or so.
  2. Coming from a 2014 that had the BCM/Bulb update done and to a 2016 truck of the same exact configuration, I can tell you the new LED headlights and LED fog lights are a night and day difference over the previous headlights.
  3. If you pull that door panel the inner nut they lost will be in the bottom of the door panel.
  4. Unless your vehicle came with the auto deploy steps from the factory then you wont be able to add the factory ones at this time, as mentioned they are controlled by the BCM.
  5. I would not call the 2016 trucks radio's "better", they are marginally better at best.
  6. Correct, what else did you expect? It is a known and validated issue. GM has already researched it and advised the noise is from the motors in the actuator performing the required process and it is a normal noise and is not harmful in any way. If the sound bothers you then I would suggest sound proofing the area if possible.
  7. I got $40k from my dealer for my 2014 Sierra AT, I only paid $44k for the truck when I bought it brand new. I would inquire about the trade assistance, wont hurt to ask. I ditched the SRA's on both trucks as soon as I left the dealer, I literally headed right over to Discount tire and had Nitto Terra Grapplers put on both trucks. Got $500 for the tires from Discount and spent another $500 and ended up with a tire I like and that is actually an All Terrain tire.
  8. The 5yr / 100k warranty is for the powertrain (engine, transmission, transfer case, and rear end) only. The Bumper to Bumper is only 3yr / 36k.
  9. It was on the previous generation trucks.
  10. Why is that not an AC Delco filter as well? My dealer did the same thing on my truck on one of the oil changes, tried pouring the oil in by the valve cover instead of using a funnel and poured it all over the valve cover. Had oil smell in the truck for the next 2 weeks, chewed them out about that and they offered me another oil change for the issue.
  11. The frame is different from the short bad trucks to the long bed trucks, and then as said all of the wiring harness and brake lines would all have to be lengthened as well.
  12. Upgraded part, best upgrade it to cut it out and dump it.
  13. Just lift one side up slightly and keep pulling up and the clips will release.
  14. How long did it take to remove the stock system? I am really wanting to save some money, new truck is coming in and I really want to take the setup off of my 2014 truck and put in on the 2016 truck and then put the new 2016 truck stuff on the 2014. If I do this it will save me about $400 or so.
  15. Looks nice, hoping that my 2014 Airaid kit will move over to my 2016 truck. I really don't want to buy another kit as the wife is already about to stroke out with the money I am going to put into the new truck as soon as we take delivery of it.
  16. Exactly, heck even customers with the 6.2l trucks wont run 91+ because they don't want to spend the extra money on the gas. Case in point, girl I work with has a GM truck with the 6.2l, she didn't even know the truck had it. I mentioned did the dealer tell her she had to run 91, she said nope. I pointed out the gas cover states 91 only on the 6.2l trucks, she still puts 87 in it because she doesn't want to spend the money. I have never ran less than 91 in my truck, I even made sure to tell my dealer when they filled it up to not put anything less than 91 in it, when they tried to rebut it by saying it wont hurt I told them it is stated in the manual and on the gas door. They finally listened and put 91 in for me.
  17. Sadly yes folks, I pushed for the buyback option after dealing with this for 2 years. The issue is still not fixed, not even close. My informal testing has shown that even with the new update the system constantly drops out of HD, it also drops out of stereo to mono all of the time randomly. The only thing I have seen that can push the issue is being around high voltage transmission lines and regular distribution lines for electric. I work for an electric utility company and have a degree in that area, with as much as the radio cuts out while around electric lines and around building it leads me to think that there is some sort of RF/EMI interference at play here that is causing the issue. The GM engineers said they didn't think so, but it is just to coincidental that when I pass under our transmission lines the system cuts out or when I am driving down a road that has distribution electric lines on both side of the road with transformers on the poles that the system will start acting up. So as of now I have been approved for the buyback or trade assist, that is provided the numbers work out. Sad it had to go this route, I love my truck and it has almost everything I wanted and I would of had it paid off by summer of 2017.
  18. I will say this, be careful about adding extra wires onto existing circuits in/out of the BCM. The modules all talk on a high speed communication system called CANBUS, it is pretty sensitive to voltage/load changes that can cause issues.
  19. They replace the factory leather covers. Katzskins has options for heated and cooled seats as well. Just need to find your local dealer and order thru them.
  20. This is the exact testing protocol document I mentioned earlier, as long as the dealer will follow it they can figure out the cause of the vibration. Personally I think a lot of this is being caused from how stiff the new trucks are, manufactures are always striving to take the flex out of the frames and make the trucks as stiff as possible before the suspension comes into play. While this is good, it is bad for harmonics as minor harmonics that used to be absorbed by the chassis are now making it thru and being felt by the people in the vehicle.
  21. Where did you get an inline booster from?
  22. I have thought about seeing if anyone made an powered inline FM booster and seeing if I could set it up. I am still seeing some multipathing issues even with the new update, it is easier to hear/see on the non HD stations. So while the HD performance is better, the non HD stations losing sound quality (sounds like going from stereo to mono) is still happening.
  23. I brought up the antenna several years ago, the engineers advised me the antenna is the same one used in the previous last 2 generations of the 1500 truck.
  24. Also another change I forgot to mention is now once you store a station if you have turned HD switching off that station will stay analog in the preset until you turn HD switching back on. The only caveat to that is if you store a true HD only station IE 102.7-2. That preset will be a HD only preset stored.
  25. I really don't know how GM will roll out the update, I just know that if the truck is an early build (before 12/2013) and the radio module has not been changed out yet it will have to be changed out and then the newest software update installed. I have noticed the same thing as you in regards to loss of signal/station/location all being tied together. So far it does seem to be a lot better than before, seems like the system knows how to handle the multipathing issue that was detailed to me before by the previous Infotainment engineer. The current engineer did say that basically this is the programming that the 2016 trucks have been using, it was re-coded to work in the 2014 trucks which is what took the longest to get done and for it to work. This could have been easier if GM has kept the hardware/software the same over the production year runs, but for what ever reasons they didn't and so far the 2014/15/16 years all have different hardware and software in them that is not backwards compatible.
