  1. You have an HD truck which has absolutely nothing in common with the half tons. I suggest you post in the 2500/3500 section so as to not confuse your problem with this 1000 page thread.
  2. I have a 2015 6.0 w 4.10 read end. I pull a 7500lb travel trailer in the Oregon mountains with ease. This is a very strong powertrain.
  3. No it is not possible. Don't waste your time.
  4. Generally you file diminished value not on your insurance but on the other guys insurance. Your insurance has no obligation for diminished value. Whether you can do diminished value is also state specific.
  5. HD trucks don't have auto 4x4 also......
  6. File your complaints here: https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/VehicleComplaint/ Don't feel sorry for anyone if you post on this site but don't report the problem to NHTSA. This is a serious safety issue and GM's feet need to be held to the fire. Where is the recall?
  7. Why is this not a safety recall? This is a serious safety issue. I suggest you all report this to the NHTSA https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/VehicleComplaint/
  8. Doesn't matter that you can figure out how to stop in this situation. It is a safety issue and if systematic should be a safety recall. Reporting the issue to NHTSA can help force an investigation.
  9. Did you report this as a safety issue? https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/VehicleComplaint/
  10. Isn't this covered under the bumper to bumper warranty? I recall some recent threads of battery issues which were covered under warranty. I would contact GM and try and get your diagnosis fee reimbursed at a minimum. Your dealer sounds like a bunch of crooks.
  11. M1, Royal Purple, Amsoil. They are all fine. No one knows which is actually better. Run each with confidence.
  12. Over the counter M1 is perfectly fine. No need to run a no friction modified fluid. You just shouldn't add extra friction modifiers.
  13. Of course the fuel system is covered under warranty. Everything is covered under bumper to bumper warranty except wear items for 3y/36k.
  14. Look on the drivers side door, there will be a sticker that tells the specific payload capacity of your suburban as it left the factory. It will say something like total passenger and cargo weight should not exceed XXXXlb. What does it say?
  15. Recall? Vibration in the HD is extremely rare. These trucks are tried and true very reliable but any truck or car can have issues such as vibrations.
  16. Wasn't there some past issues with leaking AC lines?
  17. There is Normal Mode Grade Braking, Tow Haul Mode Grade Braking and Cruise control grade braking. Normal mode grade braking is active all the time. However, according to the manual a message is supposed to pop up the first time the system engages within each key cycle.
  18. Hold down tow haul button for a few seconds. When you let up it will say on the screen that it was disabled.
  19. You sure he knew you had an HD and not the 6.2? Sheesh..... amazing incompetence. The 6.0 doesn't have AFM.
  20. Google "Chevy Clunk". Been a problem for years and years......
  21. Did they forget to reset the OLM when they changed the oil? Oil level and OLM have nothing to do with each other.
  22. Yours is easy. Tune it and get rid of V4.
  23. Anybody try max sidewall tire pressure as a test?
  24. Vibrations in the HD trucks is very rare. What, there is maybe just a couple of examples of vibrations in the HD section of this site? The architecture of the HD's vs the 1500's is completely different. Hard to imagine any relationship at all to having a vib in 1/2 ton vs 3/4 or 1 ton trucks.
  25. Taken before heading to the San Juan Islands up in northern WA state. Trailer is 28ft and ~7.5k loaded.
