  1. Fill the def tank and do your own test. I probably wasn't full when delivered. Gauge isn't a typical variable gauge -- it's trying to provide some estimate of how remaining range til empty. If not full when put into service the calcs will give strange results. DEF tank not full has caused huge amounts of grief ever since it came in use on duramax for the 2011 model year. From https://gm-techlink.com/?p=13143 Segmented DEF Level Gauge The current 2020 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 models have a DEF level gauge on the instrument cluster that provides drivers with a representation of how much DEF is in the DEF tank up. (Fig. 2) The DEF level gauge does not operate like a typical float-style gauge that is used in a fuel tank. The Engine Control Module (ECM) monitors the DEF level and consumption rate in order to calculate an estimated range. DEF levels are detected by the DEF level sensor. Fig. 2 There may be some fluctuation in the amount of DEF represented on the DEF level gauge. After filling the DEF tank, it may take a few key cycles to register the correct amount in the DEF tank. With the new segmented DEF level gauge, it is possible that after adding 5 gallons (18.9 L) of DEF that the gauge reads as a full tank after the fill event. However, if the actual level of DEF is just entering the last segment on the gauge, the gauge is likely to drop by one segment shortly after driving after the fill event. As a result, a driver could have an initial impression that the vehicle consumes an excessive amount of DEF.
  2. Any dealer can do warranty. I'd try somebody closer to homw.
  3. I've noticed that from many of those that have reported DIC vs hand calc for the 3.0L.
  4. U1D is standard on 1500 and 2500 SLT/AT4/Denali Trailer tire pressure sensors (PTT) are optional so need to be ordered separately. System is capable of monitorng 6 sensors, but PTT includes 4. Order guide suggests GM Accessories if additional are required (3 axle trailer, or multiple trailers) I'd expect, but haven't confirmed, that the order system would kick out the PTT code (sensors) if the ordered vehicle isn't equipped to monitor them
  5. Yes it is. An air to water one rather than air to air that the 6.6 uses.

  8. That's the grade brake doing it's thing. If the exhaust brake is enabled it will assist in this process. Truck is trying to maintain the speed it thinks you are asking for. No runaway coasting.... FWIW, max rpm under decel is higher than max rpm when powered Maximum Powered Speed 3450 rpm Maximum Braking Speed 4800 rpm

  10. IMHO, the best bet is to go and look at them. GM paints are by colour code, so it doesn't have to be on a 2500, as long as the paint code is the same. GMC often uses a different name than chev for the same paint code. Here here are typically more 1500's on lots for colour viewing. Chev name / RPO code / gmc name These are Gone for 2021 2500's: Shadow Gray Metallic GJI Dark Sky Metallic Cajun Red Tintcoat GPJ Red Quartz Tintcoat These are available 2021 2500 colours: Iridescent Pearl Tricoat4 G1W White Frost Tricoat Red Hot G7C Cardinal Red Northsky Blue Metallic GA0 Pacific Blue Metallic Silver Ice Metallic GAN Quicksilver Metallic Summit White GAZ Summit White NEW! If Cajun Red Tintcoat is the preferred, better try and get one locked down. Let us know how it works out!
  11. Can't help with the FGAWR sticker question, but your question made me curious enough to look up the order guide info: VYU Snow Plow Prep/Camper Package, includes (KW5) 220-amp alternator, includes increased front GAWR on Heavy Duty models, (NZZ) skid plates (transfer case and oil pan), pass through dash grommet hole and roof emergency light provisions. 12. The garage issue is exactly why the crew cab short box exists. When the crew cab short was created, it was spec'd to be exactly the same wheelbase and overall length as the extended cab 6.5 ft that was in production at that time. (ext cab is now the double cab).
  13. Daily driver -- sure. Not gonna happen on a truck that tows (or other work that results in higher fuel consumption)
  14. Vehicle orders are tracked by the 'order number' and are not assigned assigned a vin (part of which is the production sequence number) until their is a vehicle to stick it to. Soon after the vin is assigned it becomes part of info available with the order number. Lots of dealers will show/advertise a vehicle as 'in transit', and have a picture of a similar vehicle. VEven more common when a new model comes out as they may not yet have any on lot to advertise.
  15. Avatar info update visible (nice truck !) I'm guessing sigs don't show on tapatalk, but they do in web browser and your sig still has the 2014 info - 2014 GMC Sierra SLT 4x4 CCSB 5.3L 4.10 Yukon gears, Superchips Tune 6" BDS with Toyo R/T 35x12.50r20 on OEM 20x9 wheels AMP Research Power Steps, G4 Elite Fold-A-Cover, Rockford Fosgate 10" 500 GM DQS Tow Mirror Upgrade, Prodigy Trailer Break, Tow Spring Build Thread
  16. Time to update your sig and avatar with the new ride info
  17. My 6.6 gets 11 or 1200 miles per gallon def. I'd expect that with the fuel mileage you're getting that your's would easily be 1500 miles per gallon. When you get to say 5000 miles, fill it at a bulk pump and do a hand calc. You'll have mpg, will know about how much was remaining in tank, and what the indicator was reading at that stage. Def indicator / LED display is a new thing for the 3.0 and the 20+ HD's. It's not a traditional gauge with a float. https://gm-techlink.com/?p=13143

  21. Where are you hearing that they have a lot of problems with the new HD transmission?
  22. I wouldn't put a lot of faith in the gauge, based on the reports on multiple forums. Fill it, run it for 3000 - 4000 miles and refill and do a hand calc. Remember, that the initial warnings are range/miles to empty. Once it thinks it's empty, there is still 500 miles til the 65 mph speed limit. Should be more than enough miles to get it to the next fuel stop and a def refill location without having any limit on speed.
  23. Are you are running truck 'unloaded' and have factory tire sizes at the pressures on the door sticker? If so try running reduced tire pressure - its a free trial. Washboard road has always been a issue in a pickup -- especially unloaded and at speed. Suspension adjustment -- by setting tire pressure match current loading -- can help.
  24. 3.0 is a couple 100 lbs heavier, based on payload ratings. There is a weight calculator if you're wanting to compare weights for specific models and trim levels. https://www.gmfleetorderguide.com/NASApp/domestic/weightcalc.jsp?vehicleid=21796&regionid=1&step=1
