Did you try the 'Infotainment' manual?

Drive. It has the ability to request a downshift as necessary to maintain desired speed. If you use M, that function will be defeated. The exhaust brake is more active with tow/haul engaged. It also pairs well with cruise conrol.

Although the time/miles for a regen to finish is shorter.

It's in the owners manual. If the vehicle is left parked and running with the RKE transmitter outside the vehicle, it will continue to run for up to half an hour. If the vehicle is left parked and running with the RKE transmitter inside the vehicle, it will continue to run for up to an hour. The vehicle could turn off sooner if it is parked on a hill, due to lack of available fuel. The timer will reset if the vehicle is taken out of P (Park) while it is running. Some have posted that 'out of park, with the parking brake on' is a work-around.

If doing big miles pulling a trailer, you're probably also frequenting truck stop locations for food and fuel. They will always have DEF. The heavy trucks use it too. (DEF tank is the one with the light blue lid - usually on the drivers side of the tractor). Typically DEF will be available both in bulk and in boxes/jugs. It's not necessary to wait for the truck to be giving warnings before adding DEF (just as we don't need to wait for the low fuel light/warnings before getting fuel)

Has anyone uncovered tow ratings for the 2021 1500 Sierra/Silverado? Seems unusual for the ratings not to be in the order guide. Another part of the 'what's going on for 2021' mystery. If they are not changing, there is no reason for them to remain unpublished.

Article I read they indicated temporary re-assignments of some salaried staff, not new hires. To cover higher than normal absenteeism at the plant making colorado/canyon. I don't think it has stop/start. I believe what the OP is referring to is an idle timer that shuts it off. They do have a self cooling feature that, if it's been working hard, MAY restart it and idle for up to about 15 minutes to cool itself. From 6.6 Dmax supplement: If the Action Required - Idle Vehicle To Cool Engine DIC message displays, do not turn the engine off. Keep the engine running until the message goes away. Intended Vehicle Use: After a Heavy Towing Event If equipped, when the vehicle is turned off after towing heavy loads, the system may automatically restart the engine. A chime will sound and DIC messages will display. The engine will automatically turn off after 10– 15 minutes of run time or if enough cooling has occurred. If the DIC messages display after the vehicle has been stopped and placed in P (Park) with the engine still running, remain in the vehicle with the engine running until these messages no longer display. It may take up to 15 minutes of idling. Do not park the vehicle in an enclosed area if the messages display. If the system determines that the engine should be restarted and the ignition is turned off, the engine will turn off and then automatically restart. If the engine is restarted, DIC messages display and chimes will sound. The vehicle cannot be shifted out of P (Park) unless the feature is overridden. Never leave occupants in the vehicle, and always take the keys and lock the doors if you must leave the vehicle idling. Some local laws prohibit a vehicle from idling unattended. Always remain with the vehicle until it automatically turns off. This could take up to 15 minutes.

Door sticker is recommended pressures for the tire size it was born with, and when the truck is a max load. If it's a daily driver, and not running 'loaded' you may be able to improve ride by reducing pressures a little. Especially the rears.

Does the usb you are using display a 'name' when it is plugged in? Try using that name - "Play <usbname> "Play usb' probably returns to playing the usb in the same mode as it was last used. Is it playing songs in the order they are saved on the usb? When playing a usb/album/playlist/artist there should be a 'shuffle' icon that can be pressed. (so the songs included in the shuffle would depend on what songs were included in the current play mode)

When on wi-fi, download the google maps data for the area(s) you travel and save it. Then it won't be using data for maps. The ability is a feature built into google maps. Also makes google maps continue to work when travelling in areas without cell service.

I used to like (and had several of) the old extended cab trucks. (drove them for about 15 years) I tried an double cab -- and like you was annoyed by the access to the rear when trying to load large boxes/items. One of the reasons I only kept it for a year. I'd be interested in hearing any possible solutions as well.

Truck doesn't have it, but wife's suv (which I drive sometimes...) does. Similar to what others suggested, whether it is left on or not depends on the driving situation. Normal routine is to leave it active, until the first time it annoys me. Between the type of trip, and the list of things that prevent it from operating, it often stays 'on' the entire trip.
