  1. Take it in. Common theme has been valve body issues, but they will have to do the diagnosis. Powertrain coverage is 5 yr / 100,000 miles.
  2. Yes, the OTA could have introduced a hidden problem that later appeared. But just as easy, the hidden problem could have been there all along and the OTA had nothing to do with it. My trucks has lots of running since its last OTA (over a year and about 20,000 miles ago and it hasn't had 'issues'. It scheduled for the 'recall' tomorrow.
  3. Mine has had at least 4 OTA's. At little over a year since the last one and still no issues. I'd say they didn't fail. Yes, we've all read posts from those that ended up needing service after an OTA attempt. I'd say those were clearly fails.
  4. How long was it stationary before checking?
  5. That's another way of saying what I said. Otoh, OTA didn't always fail.
  6. That's a way so say it without acknowledging that sometimes OTA process was faulting and then draining the battery
  7. Automatic shutdown is standard -- but the dealer can change the programming if requested (for a fee?) I'd guess the reprogramming to disable comes with that message -- so drivers are aware it's not the standard set-up.
  8. Recall notice that comes up in the phone app also says: "Certain model years and vehicle makes noted in the table above may have a condition where where the battery is at risk for a drain following an over-the-air update". and "Dealers are to reprogram the serial data gateway module and the radio"
  9. @newdude will the two speed transfer case shift to neutral with the engine off?
  10. Never put LS additives in a G80 G80 is not a 'positraction limited slip'. G80 is a locker.
  11. Fwiw, G80 is now standard on almost all trims. On WT and Custom it is optional. Point being there are 100's of thousands of them built into GMs every year. ZR2 gets the new G93 and G94 driver selectable lockers. G80 suits many/most -- but other systems will be better for more extreme applications. Anything can fail at unexpected times. Certainly doesn't mean they all will. Need to change to something else depends on what the truck is used for. I've run G80's for many many years doing farm and road work without problem.
  12. OTA updates on mine were August 2023. The Brake fluid sensor recall was released 12 Sept 2024 The Serial Data Gateway Modul and Radio recall was released 10 Sept 2024 It's possible GM Canada dates are slightly different than GM US dates. The other completed recalls that my truck has had done do NOT show up in the log of OTA updates The app does show them in a different area -- the recalls and warranty section,
  13. The 'history' in mine shows 4 updates --- all from august 2023. Did you have your 2024 before then? I don't know where the history file would be in the truck, or when/how the info gets to the app. I'm also wondering if they have paused updates while working on the just changes just released for the recall that is intended to stop possible battery drain after OTA's. Updates to mine were all problem free, but we've all read the stories of the problems others have had. I wonder if updates done at the dealer end up in the log that the app shows?
  14. The app should also list the recalls. On main screen select 'help centre' instead of 'my vehicle' -then select 'recall and warranty' Scroll down to recall section It defaults to 'incomplete' and lists the open ones Picking 'complete' lists the completed ones.
  15. Try vehicle status > then scroll to bottom > select software > select view install history > mine lists 4 updates from Aug 2023
  16. I had a rattle that I thought was coming from the centre of the dash or a piece of nearby trim. Turned out the drivers side sun visor was against the clip, but not snapped into the clip...
  17. 3000 miles was about right with the oil and manufacturing practices in the 60's
  18. Thanks! Didn't recall that they called it AudioPilot (or that it's part of AudioPilot??) Also explains why a Denali doesn't have an setting to play with. Although for some reason I still don't feel like I need to change the way it works. I won't be getting an Ultimate because it forces 22" wheels, the 5.8" box and a moon roof. .
  19. I'm not sure why you even to bother post. You ask questions and then trash the responses of those trying to provide information regarding. (not just my responses) We're trying to help, but you are unwilling to accept help. Clearly, GM's don't work the same as your beloved Benz vehicles. Maybe you're should just switch back to them....
  20. No adjustment for it on my '23 Denali --- at least that I can find. Otoh, I've never felt the need to change it --- at least on this truck. In the past, if had vehicles with adjustment for it available (of, low, med high, iirc) and had problems finding a setting I was happy with.
  21. I'm confused. You saying some of the current lower trims have an adjustment for how it works it but the higher trims don't?
  22. Looks about normal for when a 3.0 is idling. I wish they would adjust the screen programming to show 0 - 60 or something instead of 0 - 120. I don't think I've ever seen my LM2 or LZO go over 1/2 way
  23. Still, no it does not.
  24. The test is if it's necessary to always be increasing / decreasing the volume at different speed and traffic conditions. I run the radio all the time and find I rarely need to adjust volume, so haven't even tried to find a place to adjust the sensitivity. I know that on older vehicles I did mess with the speed sensitivity and still needed to mess with the volume too. After reading this thread I now wonder if it's doing it or if I've just ignored it on this truck. Guess I need to do further 'testing'...
