  1. What is the erratic wiper issue? Do you have the rain-sensing wipers?
  2. Another article said the notices are not supposed to be sent out until early December.
  3. Check out how many hours of mp3's can be stored per gigabyte. Might not need huge capacity USB. If library to be kept in truck is huge, might be better to have several small ones? I'm still using 'freebee' usb's from years ago when businesses liked to give them out as promotions. If I was buying one I'd get the style that is like the small BT receivers for running a mouse on a computer. Less chance of physical damage when plugged into one of the trucks ports. Several brands have them. example
  4. If it has ports for the rear passengers they are likely charge only. Ports for driver are data (phone, usb) and charge.
  5. I had a '21 LM2 and now a'23 LZO I don't put much faith in estimating def usage per segment. All def added as been from a metered pump, and when def is added the tank gets filled so I can do def mileage calcs the same way as fuel mpg. The truck is using def at the expected rate of 2% of fuel (2 gal def per 100 gal fuel). The older truck, and the 6.6's I ran before were all very close to the 2% of fuel usage rate. Lifetime average currently 1380 miles per gallon. (first 24,734 miles) My question would be how does the fuel economy / fuel used during the trip compare with the previous truck? It it used more fuel -- speed, headwind, ac running hard due to highe temps, etc -- then it should use more def.
  6. Some ports are only for charging. It will work in the ones that are also data ports.
  7. I don't recall anyone reporting those conditions on a 3.0.
  8. Don't know if impacts your plans, but the factory powertrain warranty is 5yr / 100,000 miles
  9. Sounds like that person at the dealer doesn't understand how they work. No need to do anything 'daily' to keep it happy'. If the exhaust filter has soot problems it will give a 'keep driving message', not a check engine light. As @Jay P pointed out the 3.0 only takes about 10 miles to complete a regen and if a regen is interrupted that's ok too -- it will finish the regen when it's driven again. Unless it is giving 'keep driving' messages there is zero reason to do anything special.
  10. At least now you can stop trying to make it work
  11. Not available on 2023 Custom Trail Boss RPO code is KSG On 2023 LT Trail Boss it requires RPO code PCM - Convenience Package II Check the QR code on the doorpost, it should show if it is installed.
  12. Might not get an answer. He made that one post in 2017 has hasn't logged in since.
  13. The map info it uses is from google -- so the speed limits displayed are only as good as the maps database. There are lots of areas US and Canada that are incorrect or the data is missing. You can send map error information about roads to google and they will do updates -- I've done that with road information and the corrections were made within days. I haven't tried that with speed limit signs.
  14. There are two cooling systems on the 3.0. The big system is for engine cooling and it is the system that sends info to the temp gauge. The smaller system is for the intercooler (cools the air after the turbo and before it enters the engine). It does not send info to a gauge on the dash. It is the system with the kinked hose that OP was posting about.
  15. 100,000 mile powertrain is currently offered on 3.0 and 6.6 duramax's and on the 2.7 turbo 4 cyl., but not on the 5.3 or 6.2
  16. Works out to over Cdn$250,000.
  17. Have you played with the mirror camera 'brightness' and 'zoom' settings? Mine doesn't seem as bad as what's in your picture, but it definitely has some 'hallowing'. (if that's the term) Hallowing severity depends on ambient light and of course the type and aim of the lights of the other vehicles. In camera mode it the road behind appears more like in daylight (and of course this changes with brightness and zoom settings) I use it in mirror mode because mirror mode view is crystal clear and without hallowing. I would likely use it if the mirror view was blocked by things in the vehicle. This is our 3rd vehicle with camera rearview -- only have it because it's part of a package that had to be added to get other things I wanted. I do like the Auto-dimming feature. Camera mirror is auto dimming when camera is off. Auto-dimming has spoiled me -- I'd prefer not to go back to a manual dimming. As I write this I'm wondering if the auto-dimming in camera mode is not working on yours. Presumably dealer service has a diagnostic procedure to test that function.
  18. My 1500 sierra is a 'refresh' truck. It has auto heated seats and steering wheel. They will come on after push button start. They will come on after remote start. They work at much higher that 32F -- I'm thinking 45 or 50F range? Steering wheel gets hot enough I usually decide to shut it off during drive. Truck replaced a 21 1500 (so pre-refresh). Same trim level. Seats and steering wheel would come on with remote start -- but needed to be turn on again after entering vehicle/starting to drive. Steering wheel and seats were much slower to heat. We also have a 2020 Acadia. (so all vehicles gmc) The 2020 suv has fully automated seat and wheel heaters even though the 21 1500 did not. I'd guess that the HD pickups got the improved wheel/set heat automation when they got the electrical system refresh (2024 model)
  19. We have 2 vehicles with camera rear view mirror. They both work, but we run them with the camera off.
  20. Since this old thread has been brought back to life.... ... correct pads are needed. If you don't have the correct equipment and lift something wrong it can cause damage.
  21. So now I'm curious. What version should it being showing for "Android version number"? Am I looking at the correct thing, but calling it by the incorrect name? Truck currently says there are no outstanding updates .... which is what I would expect after the dealer updates just completed.
  22. Got mine back today. Was gonna post pics, but the info is exactly the same as these two pictures that White LTZ posted. Work Order says N242435631 -- but does not indicate a dash with a revision number Description for it says Serial Gateway Module and Radio. There is also a wcc number listed --- I don't know what a wcc number is... Also had recall repair -- N242447990 Failed Brake Fluid Leak Detection (who new there was a brake fluid leak detector??) This is Brake System Control Module Reprogramming with SPS ...and it gives a different wcc number... This truck also needed a new battery, which was also installed. So far everything still seems to be working correctly. All settings seem to have been retained. Seems to be working as before. I could care less about the Android version number, it works (on the rare times I activate it) so that's all that matters. I wish we never needed the extra layer. So far, haven't discovered any downside to the update.
  23. Haven't seen / heard of that one before. Hopefully your not over miles on the warranty. Does it work ok with camera mode off? Should function like an auto-dimming mirror when camera mode is off.
  24. I confess -- learned to drive in '70's, so drove lots of '60's and '70's vehicles....
