  1. I hear ya, if my truck is out of my sight I lock it up, I’m going to try to find something that fits under the jump seat but, planning on a center console swap. Not too worried about my gun being stolen I have good insurance that covers replacement and all of my carry guns are less than $500 and I’ve got plenty of em. In Ohio it’s not a criminal matter to carry into a private business that posts those signs so I ignore them.. Only exception is work because I don’t want to lose my job. 2. Dunno about the ethnicity part but, yeah def with you on feeling cramped. I took a $3k hit just to dump mine for model year older Silverado with 30k more miles. The 2017 Colorado Crew Cab Z71 was the worst truck I ever owned. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Don’t ya worry about someone smashing the window and stealing your pistol? I don’t even leave spare change in the cup holders. Maybe you miss read my question, looking for a place to stash it while the truck is parked and I’m in a place I can’t carry, when I’m in the truck the pistol is on me. 4. If I had the console I’d consider something like that for sure but, I have the jump seat with storage. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Yeah I rarely put in the the safe I kept in my old truck. Really the only time I leave it on a regular basis is at work and I can see my truck from my desk so not looking for a safe really. I’m relatively satisfied with having it under the jump seat, doubt most theives would even look there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I wouldn't do it..
  7. Also they're not concealed, leaves the gun in plain sight...
  8. I don’t love the look but, the function is pretty nice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Ok guys, I carry a pistol daily but, can't bring it into work due to corporate policy and sometimes I go to other places that don't allow me to bring my piece with me.. In my 2016 I had a full console and the little pocket up front was perfect for stashing a pistol.. My 2020 has the jump seat and I have been tossing the pistol into the portion under the seat bottom but, it's a bit awkward. Glove box is a bit of a reach plus kinda easy for someone to notice me leaving a pistol in there, upper portion of the armrest storage is full up with other stuff.... Anybody have a good place to stash their gun in their T1? Not looking for one of those holsters that straps on the dash or anything when I'm driving I always stick the pistol (in a holster back in my waist band).. Thanks for looking!
  10. https://www.amazon.com/AutoMuko-Organizer-Adjustable-Miscellaneous-Organized/dp/B00VDFSRL0/ref=sr_1_19?dchild=1&keywords=truck+floor+console&qid=1603936501&sr=8-19 Picked this up yesterday, not bad look, function is great, not sure if it will make me hold off from adding a full console but, it will do for now.. Fits nicely between the jump seat & dash (very tight fit had to be forced in / sides bent in a bit which is good because there ain't no way that mofo is popping out! Kinda hillbilly but, we have a 1 month old baby and diapers ain't cheap so this may do the trick for a while.. Also snagged one of these sets for the arm rest storage area: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07X4Y3GTZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Works out nice to keep things in order, esp after flipping the arm rest up to reach the under seat storage. Looking to buy or make something similar for the under seat storage area.
  11. I bought like 3 different ones, none of 'em allowed a safe seating position for the front seat passenger.. I'd prefer a Tahoe but, can't afford one.. Got the RST Z71 CCSB for $40k brand spankin' new, don't think I could have touched a 2 year old certified Tahoe or Suburban for that much... Also good luck hauling firewood, mulch or other items like that in a Tahoe so, now you gotta buy an open trailer to go with the SUV... I'm surely not a poser, weekend warrior sure.. I'm also not going to park my truck outside so I can have a foot more of bed space... The only status I concern myself with is my standing with my god & my family, sure as ****** DGAF about what people think of the vehicle I am driving..
  12. https://www.gmpartsclub.com/v-2020-chevrolet-silverado-1500--rst--5-3l-v8-gas/body--center-console OK if you go down the list here you can add in all the parts needed easily... Adds up to $850 without wireless charging.. What strikes me as odd is that the site is estimating $310 for shipping?? I can stomach $850 but, $1200 - not so much..
  13. If I have time this weekend I’ll try to pull up diagrams from gm to make a shopping list. In the mean time I bought a small nylon organizer thing that fits pretty well in between the jump seat and the dash and it will help me for now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Its the really low first gear my 5.3 2020 8 speed is the same problem. Same tires and motor in my old 16 but a 6 speed and the 20 breaks em loose much easier... Wish we had paddle shifters to start in 2nd gear..
  15. I'm with you on the 6 ft bed being a little more practical for building materials and other stuff but, still need to tie stuff down dependent on weather etc since you gotta leave the tailgate down. IF I had a bigger garage, I would have got a crew cab with a 6' bed but, I hate parking my rig outside!
  16. I used to agree with you but, then I had a baby and those rear facing car seats don’t fit in a double cab unless your passenger wants to ride with their knees on the dash! To me 6 ft beds are almost as useless as 5 ft beds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I’d try a junk yard search. Google it. That color will be tough. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I’d tell them I diaper my children’s butt’s I don’t diaper my face. It’s a peaceful protest to not wear a mask and freedom of speech is protected by the US constitution! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I disagree, I’d never buy one without a fully adjustable power driver seat again. Had a Colorado that just went back n’ fourth and up n’ down and I couldn’t ever get comfortable in it. I want to be able to tilt the seat and adjust lumbar support but, I drive 20-30k miles a year so I’m very focused on driver comfort. With that said, passenger seat being power doesn’t matter much to me, they’re usually only front to back, not even up and down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Bought a cheap wiz gear magnet mount with adhesive backer that I attached just below the heat vent on the passenger side. $12 for two of em. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Good Morning, Want to add the full center console to my 2020 RST. Availability of used parts is pretty much nill. Wondering if anyone has an easy list of all the parts needed to make the swap if buying directly from GM or a resource besides eBay for the part. I’m finding complete consoles listed for Tahoes and Burbs on the gm parts supplier sites for like $650 but, only pieces parts for the T1 trucks. I realize this isn’t the cheapest way to go but, all the trucks I looked at were $2k more than what fit my budget so if I can buy the whole mess from GM for like $800 and sell the jump seat for $250 I’ll be a happy camper. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Nerf bars and a bed cover should be fine I wouldn’t do the level though. I quite leasing a few years ago, was nice but, once you pay the first buy off you can get back into a cheap payment and trade every 3-5 years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. It seems that the price difference between double cabs and crew cabs is getting less and less all the time. I’d never buy a double cab again, any bed shorter than 8ft is a pain to transport sheet goods with so might as well have the bigger cab. I also have a kid and a dog so it’s good to have the cab space. With that said if no kids or dogs and I could save $1000 I’d still consider a DC. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. My RST is power for driver only. My 2016 LT had power for both as part of the convenience 2 package. I was looking at 2020 trucks with that package and I feel like it came with power passenger seat maybe?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Traded my 2016 Silverado for a 2017 Colorado. Felt like I was driving my Ford Escort from high school again. Went back to a Silverado in less than 60 days. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
