I can’t for the life of me figure why they keep putting absolute junk tires on new vehicles. My 2016 Silverado had crappy tires, my 20 was the same (had the 1 yr old tires from the 16 brought over to the 20), last two cars I bought for my wife from Chevy were the same (Malibu and Equinox). My insurance went up $50 A year on my 2020 RST CC vs my 2016 LT DC. Agree on the payments though I had bought my 16 used off the lease so I still had a long way to go on payments. My main reason for updating was the addition of a baby to the mix I needed a bigger cab for her obnoxiously huge car seat. If the 16 had been a CC it would still be in the garage. IMO the T1 is a good design but, the K2 was a great design, mostly from an interior layout standpoint. Drivability is better on the T1 mostly because the 6 speed I had in the 16 was a dog of a transmission. I’m liking my 2020 more and more but, my main gripe is driver comfort just isn’t as good on the T1 at least for me. If someone offered to straight trade me for a 2018 with the 8 speed and low miles it’d be hard to say no. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

My 16 with 5.3/3.42/4x4 was lucky to get 20-22 at 70mph. Haven’t checked my 2020 8 speed, 3.23 4x4 5.3 yet. I’m surprised you saw those kinda numbers on your K2, what rear end gear did you have in it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Take a 2x6 as wide as your tailgate and screw a 1/4” piece of plywood to it that is the same size of your tailgate plus the width of the 2x6. Then just set that on the tailgate before they load. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Finally found a decent spot in my 2020 by moving the seat down quite a bit more the I thought I’d like but, it’s not as good as I remember the 16 being. Both were fully adjustable cloth seats. My biggest gripe about the seat itself is that then seat bottom is too short, I actually like the increased firmness on the 2020. IMO the 5 biggest issues that make finding a good position hard in the T1 is, 1) steering wheel height relative to the floor of the truck, the wheel should be coming out of the dash at a higher location by maybe 2-3”, 2) lack of a tilt function on the steering column, I realize you can adjust angle and depth but, I liked the ability to change the tilt of the wheel in a separate function as I like my steering wheel very straight up and down and that’s not possible in a T1 unless you move the wheel all the way down but, then you can’t see the gauges and you hit your leg/knee on the wheel / column 3) the gauges should be lower if the column is going to be where it’s at, 4) the brake pedal is too close to the driver which makes it tough to move your seat close enough to reach the steering wheel comfortably 5) power adjust pedals are GONE on any trim level with any option package, on my 2016 I’d have the steering wheel pulled 80% of the way out and the pedals all the way away from me. Gm would have easily got the $1500 for the Convenience II package if it had power adjust pedals. Hoping that the new gen Tahoe’s have this and I can somehow do a swap. The speaker it’s self is probably 4” the box is freaking huge. I think it uses the sealed box to add to the kick. Will be making the dude I swapped with a smaller box that either fits under the passenger seat or in the jump seat storage. FYI was no problem to remove the sub everything works with out it fine. Can be relocated below passenger seat or into the jump seat but a new box must be built to do so. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Okay just hit about 2000 miles on the 2020 RST 5.3 8speed 4x4 crew cab. Likes: Exterior styling Transmission shifting much better Crew cab is great compared to the double cab. Dislikes: Interior comfort Interior controls, 4 wheel drive buttons suck, cruise control buttons are just silly. Driver seating position; The steering wheel comes out of the dash way to low. The steering wheel doesn’t have a separate tilt function. Gauges are cheap looking Brake pedal is too close to the driver Power adjust pedals are no longer an option. Steering wheel is too small in diameter Arm rests don’t allow one to rest their arm while driving very comfortably IMO. Hoping when I get the center console swap done that this is improved. Seats bottoms are too small, rounded on the front edges. Would I do it again? I’d probably buy a low mileage 2018 honestly if used truck prices weren’t so out of control. May look at trading for a Ram. IMO the T1 series is a downgrade in driver comfort compared to the K2 trucks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Every new car I’ve ever owned, 6-7 I’d guess have come with total junk tires except for 1. I just budget for new tires when buying. Ok kinda of a odd mod but bear with me. Doing a console swap this weekend. Truck A has Bose and full console which means it has a sub under the console. Truck B has no Bose and a jump seat. Truck A will be getting a gm accessory under the rear seat sub woofer installed and the jump seat from truck B. Truck B will be getting the center console, could careless if I add the Bose subwoofer to this truck. Is it OK to remove the sub woofer assembly and leave it out on the truck that came with it?
