  1. Coming from a '14 Sierra AT, to a '16 LT Z71 - many mods to come very soon
  2. Just got my 16 LT z71 Summit White CC. Current addons: - 4" black tubular steps - rhino spray in bed liner - Chev laser cut floor mats - rust inhibitor module Fogs on, Fog lights off, notice the cutoff line. Very impressed Mods to come: - 4" BDS kit - 18" black mayhem warriors - 34-35" tires undecided on brand - plate cover - tint Anything else??
  3. What's the solution? Chev won't do spray on rust protection to my '16, and I know the rust module will not help the frame at all. Kind of disappointed in their approach for tackling rust especially in a land of sea salt, snow, sand, and road salt....
  4. Yeah you dont have to worry about trimming, but it will rub the UCA/swaybar.
  5. I know its hard to say for sure it's really trial by fire. There's a lot of people with 3" levels as well - running 35x12.5 on stock wheels with no rub ahah. Sometimes it doesn't make sense unless everyone is just saying what we want to hear. There's a lot of factors, level, tires, offset, alignment etc. but I tend to just stick with the "gaurenteed" fitment specs for the population on here.
  6. stock offset and that size will rub UCA/sway bar. This has been a pretty common topic on the debate of 295/70 in a 17" vs 18" wheel. I'd really like to go that size in an 18" wheel if I could confirm offset. But then again - every tire is manufactured at a slightly different spec as well. frustation kicking in lol
  7. Yeah you're spot on with the offset for that size tire. 295/70/17 has been done on here, with KMC addicts (+18?) AZ has 295/55/20 on fuel mavericks with +1 offset. You will be fine with 295/70/17 on 0 offset
  8. Just an FYI... I ordered a GoRhino black textured exhaust tip and the textured coating lasted about a month or so in the winter. Granted, we have harsher climate and use salt/sand on the road - but I mean my paint or plastidip doesn't peel. Not very impressed for the price.
  9. This was always my dilemma. There are a few guys on here running 295/70/18 that do rub - I forget which offset though. 295/70/17 is not a problem and the way im leaning
  10. Man i was holding out so long for this intake, but I think I may just go with the Airraid MIT. Do you have any soundclips or comments about the product?
  11. I really like the look of your truck, but the nose seems higher than the ass. Is it just picture angle or ? Super clean all around. Need that front license plate cover now!
  12. Assuming you're talking about a 9" wide wheel. Some guys on here run 9" wide with +1 on the fuel mavericks and barely poke. I would consider a little more offset if you want the tire to run flush with a flare. Lots of pictures throughout this fourm!
  13. The issue with 18s is the tire sizes available 275/70/18 just isnt quite big enough and 295/70/18 is too tall. 17s solves the problem by going with 295/70/17 you get the width and a good height. the plan is to go with 17x9 +0, today. That plan may change by supper time lol
  14. After the 18" tire size dilemma I've decided to go down to a 17" tire and settled on cooper St maxx's in 295/70/17. Little over 11.5" wide and a little over 33" tall, which is what I was aiming for. Might I add, Mr. Wheel Deal was the best prices I could find anywhere, online or local by over $500
  15. Nice truck, what offset, +18 ?? Looking at the Standards in that size for basically the exact same truck and setup.
  16. I'm sure people have done it, it's just a matter of preference. I haven't seen that GM wheel in an 18 and you probably wont find it. If my truck didn't leave the pavement I would opt for a larger wheel, but 17-18" is more practical for my driving mix.
  17. To each his own, but I prefer more rubber than a larger diameter wheel, Always appealed more to me... maybe the fact it's more functional overweighed the form portion.
  18. Nice truck, I like those wheels and still haven't confirmed kmc vs method yet. I like the setup but 295/70/17 and 295/70/18 differ by 1" in height. Do you have more than a 1/2" of clearance at all points around your tire ?
  19. Looks good! Wheel/tire specs?
  20. People have ran a 275/70/18 on a 2.5" level with 18x8.5 +24 offset, so If it would rub anything it would be the carpet and not the UCA but this setup has been done on a couple of vehicles here. Method seems to be popular on our vehicles in 18x9 with offset ranging +12 to +18. When you refer to offset, you also need to consider rim width for the change in actual inner and outer rim position.
  21. Yeah like 14x4 said, 275/70 is a sure thing but it just doesn't seem like enough. You're on stock rims which is 18x8.5 +24, correct?
  22. Ok guys, any help is appreciated....I have a dilemma between going 295/70/18(unknown fitment) vs 275/70/18(known to fit easily). My setup is 2014 Sierra A/T Double Cab with RCX 2.5" kit. My question is geared towards the 295/70/18... how bad will I rub on 18x9 +12 ? What 18x9 wheel offset would work? I see some guys doing 295/60/20, on the 2.5" kit, and that measures about .25" shorter than the 295/70/18. I just don't wanna invest that kinda cash and not be satisfied with overall width and height of the tire. 275/70/18 just doesn't seem like a large enough increase to justify. I don't really wanna go to a 20" wheel for overall ride quality and the look just isn't for me, I like meaty sidewalls. Any input is appreciated, I'm ready to pull the trigger.
  23. @matt_s, Yeah if you're going to invest in tires, go 35s and be satisfied with them, instead of kicking yourself down the road in a month! Truck looks good, can't wait to see the tire upgrade!
  24. Yeah sorry my bad, I may be mistaken here. I believe one person complained of rubbing the fender liner is all. You can now throw the rocks at me
  25. I don't think you'll swing it on a 1500 with 2.5" level, possibly a 3"...but it would be a trial. On stock offset people are rubbing with 275/70/18 on 2.5" kits
