  1. Bought the GM pads for $166 today and replaced them and low and behold - I still have the service brake monitor system on the DIC ?
  2. Guys I have had this same issue but my troubles seem to be worse for whatever reason. ok so I have a 2019 TB custom crew cab std bed purchased in may 2019, no brake issues until around 40k KM(July 2020).Started getting a pulsation and expected a warped rotor. In July 2020 the brakes were serviced and the rotors were milled flat under GM warranty. They ordered in new pads for front and rear. The recall for bad wear was done as this time as well. I didn’t realize they were killed because the advisor told me they were replaced. My bad for not verifying. The new pads were installed in august 2020 with ~45000KM on the truck. in January 2021 I noticed the warp was back(surprise surprise) with about 66000km on the truck. So I scheduled an appointment to see if there was any resolve seeing it was less than 6 months from my supposed brake rotor and pad replacement. A couple days later I got a brake service completed, no issues again but warp still present and I was going to accept it/live with it. As of today I now have a brake pad monitor alarm in the DIC for worn pads AGAIN. after 6 months and only 20k KM. They are refusing to perform any work or help with this issue as they have stated “GM Canada will only do one replacement”. They want $655 for rear pad parts and install. new aftermarket parts are $59+tax for rear pads only. my question is; with aftermarket pads, will there be any affect on the DIC and this service wear indicator constantly being displayed? I have a potential sale on this truck, and would really like to get rid of any DIC related/warning items. (As well as fix the pads)
  3. As someone who frequently drives ~600miles/8-10hr trips across my province, as well as 2hrs to and from work each day, I wish there was at least 30gal/120L tank option. Time is money. I would sacrifice 3-4" of the bed for a clean slip tank install, or maybe even the dead space around the one(or both) sides of the wheel well. That's probably all the volume that's required to make the truck reach my points of destination. I like the flo n go idea as a backup but I hate the idea of unsecured fuel in the bed, in plastic containers, with poor ventilation.
  4. 65mph reading will now be 69mph actual. I guess the question is, is that of concern? It's about a 6% increase.
  5. That's a fairly odd size tire, you will be limited to certain brands. I think that's the reason for majority of choices being 295/70. I agree with you, and would prefer more sidewall too, though.
  6. thanks to everyone posting info and pics, helped me make up my mind. I'll be ordering 295/70/18 for my custom TB. Seen some horror stories around the level/lifts and upper ball joints literally falling apart in no time. So, I'll let them come out with a decent kit and run this size for now.
  7. Got the service camera system message last week. Horrible picture, grainy at all times, and it flickers with the touch of the brake or any other power draw. Still "working" though.
  8. anyone having issues with upper ball joints and the spacer level? I've seen a few cases online and a few cases locally. Ball joints were destroyed after 3-5k miles. Why can't someone make a decent UCA kit with a small spacer that isn't $2k +
  9. Looks great, what the susp. specs?
  10. The flapper was noticeably louder than just the screens. I may have video of each. But on startup with the flapper pinned open( combined with screens covered) it had quite a growl. I covered my screens with aluminum fascia, cut to fit, and SS clamps. I didn't use that cheap ductwork tape as it wouldn't last. The tape is aluminum as well, but it is very slight.
  11. I'm almost positive the issue was fixed with different tires. May be wrong. There's been a few cases of this on here now
  12. maybe because I have the shitty custom speakers. My '16 LT used to be how you describe it (usb louder)
  13. really? with an iphone? My bluetooth is noticeably louder - I dont think I have any EQ settings on either.
  14. The 17" wheels on the base model are not the same as the previous 17" stock wheel models. They are a new product, to allow for caliper clearance. Try before you buy, is all!
  15. A member on here had some trouble with Mastercraft tires. He also had balancing issues with the falkens - or maybe that was another member. Either way, I would tend to get the higher end tire as opposed to cheaping out, especially while increasing size (harder to balance). Have you considered nitto ridge grapplers?
  16. It's actually louder connected through bluetooth... the grey is normal, it's an apple/carplay thing.
  17. Be careful, as some 17" wheels will not fit on the T1xx trucks. I've seen 17" wheels on some trucks, but they are typically aftermarket with less backspacing. The KO2s will be fine for the winter, and 10k KM would show hardly any wear. I would consider them new. Narrow tires will most definitely perform better, I would lean towards a 255/80/17 or 245/75/18 or similar size.
  18. POR-15 is very popular around my parts. especially in a rebuild/chassis stripping project
  19. np. I've used Krown protection, with the rust module, but after 3-4 years, the chassis needs to be wire-wheeled down to the metal, and a new coating applied. It is inevitable.
  20. the "new" rust modules from DiamondKote, plugin to the OBD2 port. I would suspect these are even less effective. Regardless, like High Country 6.2L/8 has mentioned, when you live in places that salt/sand are used to cover roads, and theres always moisture, and salt spray in the air - you opt for as many products as possible.
  21. anyone with soft toppers?
  22. anyone with a soft topper or similar product on a '19-20 yet? I'm really on the fence. Just curious how a black vs grey would look on my silver trail boss. its about $500+ for a decent tonneau cover, and the soft topper is only $750... They have a "tent/camper" addon as well. Curious if they can be added after initial purchase.
  23. X2. I live in NL and you typically see rust after the first winter, the ranchos show first sign, then chassis.
  24. They look cheap as hell, imo. The top looks better, but still kind of tacky to me. OEM projector is very stylish, hopefully something can be incorporated - in time.
  25. pre-load adjustment, in terms of spacers or struts, compresses the spring and reduces total allowable travel distance as well. Doesn't help with ride combined w/ things you've mentioned
