  1. How far from Ft Wayne are you?
  2. Looks good, nice job. Probably can't beat the price. Are you concerned that the tie straps may rub the paint on the bike?
  3. That is awesome. I may have to copy that kinda.
  4. My ‘21 RST 6.2 runs great and drives better/less like a truck than my 15 and 18 Silverado’s. However I didn’t have any issues with the 15 and the 18. The 15 was an LTZ ccsb 5.3, the 18 was an LTZ ccsb LTZ 6.2. I don’t dislike my current truck, but the prior two were better trucks, better vehicles in my opinion. The 18 6.2 definitely got better gas mileage than my 21 6.2. I have had and am still having some minor electronic issues on my current truck. And in my opinion the 15 and 18 were a lot better looking trucks, had more storage. And the fact that my current truck does fall in the broken valve spring time frame it’s always in the back of my mind when I’m out of town, what if it breaks here....?
  5. I can vouch for not using the 1.5" bottom spacer. Installed it pushed my shock into the cv boot. I went with a 1.5" top mount spacer. My truck now sits at about 39 1/4" from ground to top of wheel well opening on all four corners.
  6. The same thing happened to me, kinda. All dealer installed options arrive separate from the truck. The dark essentials package that arrived for my truck had black duramax emblems instead of 6.2 emblems. They ordered the 6.2 emblems and arrived the next day.
  7. The '85 Bears only lost one game that year and won the Super Bowl, and ironically it was the Miami Dolphins who beat them.
  8. Doesn't matter if it's a Trail Boss or not, the dark essentials pkg should have all but the Z71 on the fender black, including the 6.2 or the duramax emblem on the hood. So you should have black 6.2 emblems on the hood. Those trucks with the dark essentials package arrive at the dealer with chrome emblems. The dealer then removes the chrome emblems and installs the black ones and installs the black "CHEVROLET" sticker on the tailgate. I've heard of dealerships not doing the greatest/straightest job on the new emblems and not doing all them emblems.
  9. Remember the WFL that ruined it for the Dolphins?? I was an angry 8 year old.
  10. Oh yeah!!!
  11. How can you not mention the early 70's Dolphins!! I was very young then, but remember people talking about them and how good they were, I probably liked the uniforms too, I was a huge fan. I still like the Dolphins, as frustrating as it's been since then. I think Buffalo will be hard to beat. They stuffed the running game of Henry at Tennessee, and stuffed Lamar Jackson and his running/passing game. It is kind of a disadvantage to not know who will be starting for KC next weekend. Should be a good game though.
  12. Just for the heck of it, go make sure all the plug wires are seated properly on the plug and the coil.
  13. That’s why I have the old 4x4 Trailblazer. It’s like new on the inside, some minor dings on the outside. I had a 2wd rclb GMC 1500, 5.7, but it rusted out, frame and body, went through a few fuel pumps too. Maybe an older tbi truck.
  14. It’s the button on the headlight dial. The button you would think is the fog light switch. Kind of another odd/dumb thing about these trucks.
  15. Had the mirror lights tinted. The light just seemed to stick out too much. Had them use headlight tint. Still seems plenty bright when on, if I ever use them.
  16. I took the slight gamble and tried it. It works just fine on my ‘21.
  17. It ain't slow and it's been happening for a while now.
  18. I acquired a set of used chrome ones. I went to get some black engine paint, but ended up with high temp semi satin grill paint. I first roughed the up with a disk grinder. I’ve got $48 and about 45 minutes into them. Only problem is the grill paint seems very soft. I may heat them up and see if that helps the paint, or get black engine paint after all.
  19. Never had an issue with mine.
  20. Nice looking truck. I went with a 1.5" spacer on top. I tried a 1.5" bottom spacer and it pushed the shock against the cv boot when installed. So I finally tracked down a 1.5" top mount spacer with some help from this sight and it worked great. Sometimes I think I should have went with a 2" spacer, but my truck sits at about 39.25 on all four corners and the bed rail sits level, with a level, not that I'm that ******, but I checked with a level... Plus I pull a boat alot in the summer so... I'm ok with 1.5"
  21. I would probably be interested in the wheel skins. Good find. I have found RST wheels in black for about $850. But as mush as I think the black wheels look good, they make the truck look dirty when the wheels get dirty, and they get dirty easy. My ‘18 Redline has black wheels, and they looked great cleaned and spay waxed after I washed the truck and tire shined the tires. But my current RST wheels kinda match the color of my truck, and they don’t look very dirty ever. So I was happy with the gray wheels, but I think black would look good, but would it be worth the trouble of keeping them clean....so what to do.. I think I may try the wheel skins. I’ve seen them on other Chevy wheels and they look pretty good. Not great.
  22. I haven't seen a GM running board or tube step that didn't have the brackets as part of the step or board.
  23. The 396 was actually a 396 until 1970, then it became a 402. They bored it .030 over. The 396 engine already had a good following so they didn't want to change anything. I've heard Chevrolet did it for emission reasons, apparently engines under 400 cu in had more stringent emissions, so the they made it a tad bigger.
  24. Nice stable of vehicles you have there.
  25. Nice truck. What about the early 70s white Firebird?.
