  1. Finally have some decent shots my new ride. Traded my 2015, same black, black & black for a 2020 Black, black & black. Did I mention that I like black vehicles ?
  2. I just bought my GMC with the 6.2 10A actually picking it up Friday. I wanted performance brakes, exhaust and intake, but I bought it off of the lot and it only had the brakes. When I asked the sales person about it he said he didn't think that the exhausts sounded much different from stock -which, based on this thread, I see isn't the case. I had thought that I'd just order the parts and install them myself --can you just download the tune when you get the CAI or do you have to bring it to the dealer?
  3. How many miles? Did you check with a dealer - I just had them find that problem on my 2015. I have about 48,000 miles on it and they replaced them under the drivetrain warranty.
  4. I'm also interested in the status. Mine does the same thing periodically. Sometimes it may not do it for a month or more -but sometimes it may do it again within a week, but it always goes away when you shut it off and start it back up. Funny thing is that when it does this when I'm using navigation, the map and visual directions are wacked, but it still continues to give the right verbal directions.
  5. Ok, I brought my truck in for the brake recall today _ I had been having no problems, but they kept sending the notice. I had forgotten that a couple of years ago when they were doing the 8M triple flush, the GM tech had told me that when he was working on it that there was radiator coolant smell and looked to be a very slight leak - so keep an eye on it. I forgot about is until it was written on my service write up today, that they did the brake recall, but noticed the engine oil cooler line has a slight leak and that the radiator was leaking and should be replaced. Mine is a 2015 Denali with a 6.2, which has Powertrain coverage for 5 years 100k miles and I only have 47k miles. They said that the Powertrain Warranty covered the engine oil cooler lines but not the radiator. I remembered seeing this thread, so I called GM and they said it is covered and then I printed the 1/2019 Pl1513F Bulletin and it reads that it is covered -so I called the dealer service department back and they said they would verify this and get back to me. So, have others had them cover the radiator etc. per this bulletin? If so, thanks to the thread starter!!
  6. I have owned my Z/28 for 40 years. It was my plan to keep it off the road in the winter, take good care of it and only drive it for fun. Last week I had it up on the lift doing my 5-6 year fluid changes; tranny, rear end, brake fluid, cooling system and PS fluid etc. I took a couple of shots of the underside of the floor boards and am real happy with how they look after 31k miles.
  7. I agree and will do this at least every spring. I have just had only GM vehicles, trucks, cars, vans etc. and have never seen rotors rust that bad. Like I said, from the exterior side, they looked fine and were VERY smooth, never warped etc. right until about 3 weeks before I replaced them all. So, I am amazed that no one else has had this problem and most seem to have the same experience that I have had with my previous GM vehicles.
  8. I read all of these and am amazed. I have a 2015 Sierra 1500 Denali and earlier this summer I had to replace everything, pads and rotors front and rear at 42k miles. So, I live in Syracuse, but work from home sometimes travel the Thruway to see customers. The front outside pads were real thin and the back pads were to the rotor. The back of the rotors was rusted craters. The rear brakes looked OK, on the outside, but the rear inside pads were getting pretty thin and the rotors were rusted bad. This is my vehicle that stays outside, but I never let it stay dirty and stop at the touchless carwash after any real salty travels. I NEVER leave my truck dirty or salty. One thing I wonder about is the factory 22" rims -they definitely leave the calipers very exposed? Funny thing was the truck had been NYS inspected last September and they didn't say that I was close. Never heard the wear indicators, The only reason I took a closer look was because I had just started feeling a very slight pulse and heard a light growl. I totally love this truck and was just surprised by the brake wear.
  9. Oh, I have factory 22" too, but yours looked different to me.
  10. Nice looking Denali! Are those 20" rims -they look great.
  11. Installed the GM CAI -had a bunch of rewards to pay a good chunk of it. Looks nice, but minimal 11 HP gain.
  12. My oldest daughter was born March 80, so I had to be irresponsible before I had to be responsible.
  13. Thanks, actually found it in a classified ad -used with 3k miles, for $5,900.00. Oh, the classified ad was in September 1979
  14. I decided to go the power route.... did a "test pipe", Cat delete to unleash the 350 and increase beyond the factory 175HP rating. Actually just remembered that it sounded better in the 80's when I had one on then.
  15. I have the same year Denali only Black with about 36k miles and my shocks are fine -no surprise. I have a couple of questions: How many miles on your Denali? It seems odd that they would both go bad at one time -or is it that one is bad so they want/ need to replace both at one time? Did you double check with another dealer just to be sure that the noise isn't something else?
  16. Had a lot of rewards points so I bought the GM factory CAI.
  17. Washed it the other day for the for the first time after getting it home from the dealers -has 95 miles on it now.
  18. Found out yesterday that it arrived at the dealership and that I can pick it up Saturday morning. 2019 Z06 7M
  19. Got Confirmation that the Z06 is still on track to be built the week of 4/23/18 -getting closer!
  20. The ceiling is 10'-6" and the lift was approximately $2,500.00 delivered and installed about 4 years ago. It's a Direct Lift and included loading rams, HD movable jack tray and (4) drip trays. It's great for storage and working under the cars! Love the new Camaro's and was actually looking at the last generation 2015 Z/28 in the dealership when I bought my Corvette. -but the Corvette was less money.
  21. I had to explain to my Corvette that it was nothing personal, and that I'd miss it, but it's being evicted in about 7 weeks when the new 2019 ZO6 gets in.
  22. Winters coming... finally put the Camaro up on jack stands and took off the factory rims to sand and repaint. From day one you could almost see through a lot of the paint on the rims. About 7 years ago I did a fresh up on the rims, but for some reason the paint has started lifting and cracking in the corners of the spokes. I'll get these all sanded, crank the heat up to 70 in the garage and then prime & paint them -I don't want to do too good a job, because the Z has all original paint and if these look too good -they won't match LOL
  23. I backed it out of the garage again, did the "stop the snow, get warmer" dance and then pulled it back in the garage -happy spring
