  1. EGR matte hood deflector mounts to existing holes underneath the hood......no aeroskin stick on crap to fly off or damage hood surface, ermits washing and waxing of whole hood. Cut and installed 1/8"light smoke plexiglass over the fogs to match other blackout lighting.
  2. .02 M<y prediction aeroskin may soon become swearoskin! Been there, done that with a sports bra; and nothing is touching my hood except rain water air and wax! Exactly what do you think will happen after accumulations of road salt, alkali soap, pollen dust crap finds its way through gaps in the tape and accumulates under there for months or years? Like the hood hugging bra, trapped moisture combined wit the heat of the engine under the hot Summer Sun boils the trapped moisture and the hood underneath gets the crap cooked out of it which sits on the surface of your Jello hard clear coat. As many leaving their bra on too long soon discover the clear coat turns milky or delaminates. So unless that "skin" is hermetically sealed so not even a dust particle or drop of water can trapped underneath you're setting yourself up for a potential screwing. Once burned, twice wary.....I took the hard way out and installed an off the hood EGR deflector. And what a pain in the ass to install because in order to secure using the existing underhood pre-punched holes they are forced to use shallow fasteners, impossible to install without a third hand and a small step ladder. Chevy website wants $109 and Amazon $52 probably because of a 1.5 star rating.....not for the quality of the product, but the crapo directions and frustration of the install. But for those willing to take the time and effort this provides a real class look, the black matte finish option providing a match to RST and similar bumper trims and not just a shiny piece of plastic glued top the hood. A nice solid mount with space for cleaning and waxing the hood underneath and can be removed in less than 5 minutes with no remaining trace of install and the hood completely intact.

All depends upon how old pads are worn, measure and if uneven thickness front to back could be bad caliper guide pins, a sticking caliper piston, sticking parking brake shoe (I believe the '19s use multiple pistons/caliper), remote chance it could even be a sticking valve in the brake proportioning valve. .02 If pads are worn evenly, problem is not the pads and they are wasting time.......installing new pads alone won't solve the problem.
  4. Just installed a drivers side one on my '19.....blocks the bed light almost entirely. Won't even bother on the passenger side because it will prevent use of the 110v outlet rendering it useless for my purpose. The case will not latch with the waterproof door flipped open or with an accessory like a 12v transformer of line cord plugged in. Example for use charging a jumper battery or drill/saw battery recharger while the vehicle is moving or in my case a 12v transformer powering the LED lights on the sports bar using the lighted dash switch. Of course you can remove it, but then your better off using a milk crate, which by the way holds a lot more junk than the Swingcase......and without the chance of overloading the weight and cracking the case.....both cases in my '16 cracked like a mozaic and they had nowhere near the 75 lb limit loaded in each. Better pack them tight because if something heavy like a trailer hitch is loose in one it will act like a hammer on the plastic case each time you hit a rut or pothole/gopher hole.
  5. As shown in the photo is is accessible only with the case in open position, the case cannot be closed with the AC outlet flip cover open and a regular AC cord (or transformer plugged in. Only option is to remove the waterproof flip cover on the outlet and use an extension cord with a zero clearance plug intended for when you want to use a wall outlet behind a piece of furniture directly against the wall. Also units are supposed to come with an external lock that fits into a pip on the bracket rather than through the previous padlock slot. Makes more sense just to use the driver's case since each intrude into the floorspace and teo will not only block all lighting, but limit width of bed. '20 install same as '19
  6. My "pop" has settled down to a "tick", maybe once per trip. And no sense bringing to a dealer because he can't change the laws of physics regarding different rates of expansion for different materials. And if he does by torquing the crap out of the retainers......no more pop......just one big snap as the plastic cracks. Actually the redesigned spoiler with LED lighting tilting the light below the sports bar was a great idea as far as I'm concerned more than justifies an occasional tick or pop. Besides I was getting in my Traverse the other day and heard the plastic spoiler on the rear of the roof pop in the Sun. No pop posts on the Traverse website, either don't hear it from inside the cab or none of the owners are noticing it.
  7. I can't speak to Carplay (Apple?) but using Auto Android the screens and Google maps lack black and are bright and washed out at night and backgrounds are grey. The OEM Nav maps show blacks during daytime even with full dash brightness and nighttime screens easily visible without a washout.
  8. Solved my ground hog problem. Money saved by not hiring an specialist exterminator will be used for buying an OEM lighted bowtie. Simple formula: Take one motor vehicle, one piece of plastic corrugated drain hose, and one shovel. Fill all holes except one. Backup truck to open hole; one end of hose in hole, other end over tailpipe; idle engine for approx. 20 mins.; remove hose and fill in last hole. Check next day for reopened holes; open holes? reapply formula; no open holes? problem solved, no disposal needed, plant daisies.
  9. .02 Took the truck on a fun drive yesterday and was really impressed with the ride and handling. A few dayus ago at the dealer I test drove a used '16Z71 like my old trade on the same strip of concrete highway where I felt the bouncy roughness of my new '19 and then compared it with my '19 with mileage. The '19 rode similar and handled better than the '16 and I not longer experienced the drastic difference in the rides or the same bounce and roughness of the road I experienced on the first day.. I'm not sure if it was the road force balance, increased flex in the sidewalls, the 3K miles of breaking-in the suspension with carrying cargo and trailering, or a combination of all three......but the ride is much smoother, calmer and more fun to drive that when I first purchased it. Appears some of the stiffness has to be worked out of the '19s before the ride improves
  10. Easiest way to confirm is send an Email to customer service.. [email protected] ..requesting RPO code for your vehicle, among other things it will show what engine was installed and fuel requirements, e.g. mine was L84 V8 DFM E15 capable.
  11. Upon my Email request to customer service [email protected] they sent me a printout of all RPO codes and their definitions for my 3 vehicles. Came in handy for identifying not only the SU5 GM front axle without crawling underneath but also MQE tranny code showing it had the new Mobil1 HD fluid....also list confirmed oil cooler and tranny cooler and other items not shown on the Maroney sticker.

Here's the best reason for not substituting LEDs for reverse lamps.......seems the on next gen. models the BCM monitoring of the bulb outage circuits may continue to draw current with key off if original halogen is replaced by an LED.   13. BTW that little plastic square on the far right of the camera lens in the photo is a camera lens washer. Move the lever or push the button on the stalk and a jet of windshield washer fluid streams across the two camera lenses to the left of the washer nozzle. Great for removing Winter salt/road dirt. Traverse works different than described for the Blazer....separate independent rear windshield washer and camera washer controls.
  14. Power fails and you flip the switch from monitor to a self dimming mirror which without power will function just like a stock full brightness regular mirror.

  16. Before selling it better check the operation of the remaining CMHSL located on the roof of the cab. I had installed a sports bar on my '16, dealer cut me a 10% discount for $900, actually cheaper than the $860 on-line because it would cost $178 to ship. Problem was on the install the truck bed didn't (doesn't) come with the prewired harness, this secondary harness provided with the sports bar had to be routed and connected to the engine fuse box requiring separation and removal of pins from the bottom of the fuse block and insertion of pins from the harness....the heck with that........a fuse tap on the CMHSL fuse works just as well. The reason I mention is the pin substitution is already done at the factory thus removal of the pin for powering the roof CMHSL and substituting the one from the sports bar harness. I checked the operation of the OEM sports bar on my '19 and the original roof CMHSL has been deactivated at the factory and only the one on the sports bar is active. If so, with the sports bar removed you no longer have a powered CMHSL on the truck and you'll be a candidate for a ticket and flunk at safety inspection time with no easy way to power the stock CMHSL or if it even has one inside to correct..
  17. OEM tinted, blacked out lenses tint the whole lens, not just a portion in addition usually has a black surround. I light tinted the fogs just to match the tinted headlamps, directionals and DRLs, done with magnets epoxied to the back of a 1/8" acrylic sheet attached by magnets to ss washers taped on the fog lens, easy snap on or off. No way I'm putting in LEDs in the reverse lamps not only for concerns of a parasitic drain on the perimeter lighting circuit if resistance doesn't match, but tinting just the center will look odd at best. It's either do it right and tint the whole housing, unwise, or not at all. No roads lighting where I live and the HD night vision camera and monitor along with the existing halogen reverse lamps are more than adequate.
  18. My .02 Looks like the blocks on the tires are "feathering", more material rubbing off the leading edge of the block than the trailing edge. My blocky Goodyear Wranglers did......felt by drawing hand on the tire one way and then in the reverse direction, smoother one way that the other. At 10K without rotating they were getting noisy and running rough. No directional arrows on tires so I rotated them myself doing a cross rotation instead of front to back. Ran just as rough (maybe a little rougher) for the first 500 miles and then smoothed right out.....then when I rubbed my had over the tire both directions were equally smooth. The cross rotation wore the high edges off the blocks which now had slightly rounded edges on both leading and trailing edges.....tires were smoother riding and quieter. Wear has a lot to do with tire composition and Wranglers may wear in different than other brands Traded at 15K otherwise I would have cross rotated again at 20K. .
  19. Three different so far for '19s: base ver. LT, RST = 777 Z71 opt.= 779 TB opt. = 780. I'm guessing the higher the number suffix, the more HD the spring for off road use suspensions Anyone got the 778? Customs?
  20. Checked the '19s, all US Vin "1"s on the lot all LT, RST and LTZs had the same suspensions with the same rear leaf springs 84469 777 all the Z71 Rancho shock variants had 84469 779... A little weirded out, all said "Made in Mexico" instead of "Hecho en Mexico", winder how the "3" VINs are labeled? Only on 20 in stock, a loaded LTZ in the showroom quick looked like had the same numbered 777 spring but wasn't about to creep out customers by getting underneath with a camera to take a good look and photo......I'll wait until they get a new shipment stored on the lot.
  21. .02 It's not a matter of how much they ground off; it's a matter of how much meat is left between the ground edge and the internal brake fluid channel. And what changes in clearance remain when those calipers heat up and expand on a hot Summer day in traffic. I have enough clearance to stick the tip of my index finger between the inner edge of my 22" wheel and the surface of the bulge in the front caliper, which is more thickness than grinding off the whole bulge. I'd sooner take my chances grinding off a notch on all spokes of the wheel and rebalancing before removing metal from a component in a high pressure hydraulic system. Gotta figure GM didn't waste too much extra metal iwhen casting a bulge that size in the first place.
  22. Boils down to a matter whether to believe either one of them or my lying eyes. To early to check replacement numbers, so next time at the dealer, it's flat on my back pulling numbers off the springs of a '20 RST for comparison against mine. Other models too.

  24. I may be confused also, but if I read it correctly the $625 MSRP as purchased from GM or any independent supplier excludes installation and taxes. Why would this accessory be any different from any of the hundreds of other accessories purchased from GM? I've had many accessories instalkled by the dealer and installation is never included in any MSRP.....GM parts department will never include an estimate of installtion costs price of install must be worked out with the dealer service dept.. OP may have snookered the dealer out of immediate payment but my .02 says OP won't win this one.
