If anyone wants an easy way to turn off the passenger it’s simple. Buy a little seat belt extender on Amazon, it adds about 2 inches and plugs in the slot the seat belt plugs into $10. And want to turn it back on takes 2 seconds. My dog rides in the passenger seat and weighs 80 lbs so it’s nice not to have it turn on and off as I drive.

I went into several apps and disabled Bluetooth, in my case disabling Bluetooth for Facebook solved the problem, for some unknown reason many apps ask you to use Bluetooth now but they don’t need it. I know I never use Bluetooth with Facebook but it was turned on. If you disable Bluetooth on your phone and use the cable that works too but it’s kind of a pain.

You might be on to something I have only had it happen when the phone is plugged in, didn’t really think about that until you mentioned it. My cable is good it’s high quality and new.

I just did the front so far the original post had the complete wiring diagram attached. Remember the amp is in the back so the wires come forward. I like the sound much better without the boomy bass from the front speakers. Still have bass from the door speakers just not as low. My sub has all the bass I need.

Inflight refueling

I don’t expect people who can’t spell bass to understand. It is an in line crossover that just effects the door speakers now. Not that you know what a real time analyzer is but I used one to set up my system. I have a lot of clean bass now from the Kicker sub. Getting rid of the shitty bass from the doors not advised if you don’t have an add on sub.

OK yes the bass is in the 6X9 door speakers, At most I cut out below 300 hz if the speakers are 4 ohm. I think they are 8 ohm so only cut out below 150 hz. This is called a crossover it’s used in many speakers. It does not sound like Alexa. Yes I have the factory Kicker sub I installed. I have been an audio engineer for over 40 years. I have designed $250,000 systems for church’s and $10,000 systems for cars not my own. I never spent more than about $2500 on some killer car systems for myself. I actually do know what I am doing. At this point I question that there is a factory Bose sub included with the Current Bose system, at least on my AT4. I believe it is a 6 speakers system not 7. The shitty bass coming from the doors. My system sounds MUCH better than stock Bose. I spent $610 so far. I was not out to build a ridiculous system. Been there done that. I just wanted to fix the factory one, that’s harder and more fun to me. I know there are better subs and speakers, I want my truck to be close to stock for resale.

I have never liked the bass coming from the Bose door speakers in my AT4. I installed the factory sub and turned the bass down to -12 on the infotainment and up on the sub, better but not happy still. I bought a couple of PAC BB -1PR bass blocking caps on Amazon $9.00 they are small and go on the hot side of the input to the speaker, right yellow left blue. I cut the wires in the door floor panel tray and just put them in with red butt connectors. The sound is so much better it cuts out 0-300 on 4 ohms and 0-150 on 8 ohms. Not really sure which they are but it works. I can now set the bass to 0 in the infotainment center and turn the bass on the sub down quite a bit, maybe to half. The sound images much better and the mids and highs are much more crisp without all that muddy bass. A huge improvement for $9.00. I want to get in there with a real time analyzer soon and finish it up. The factory sub sounds much better now.

I saw 275X65X20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on a truck on stock rims at the dealer looked great and the guy said no rubbing. Sorry no pictures wasn’t my truck.

As I understand it neither the 5.3 or 6.2 can run e85. The reason being is ethanol absorbs water if it is in the station storage tank for extended periods especially this time of year. Once it absorbs the water it turns into a white sludge and can clog things up. I am not a scientist this is what I was told.

Write customercare for gmc it’s [email protected] not sure what it is for Chevy. They have helped me.

On my GMC it was the tray on the dash dealer fixed it. I could push on it and make it rattle.

The truck will not stay in Sport mode, you have to engage it every time you start the truck. I doubt it will hurt anything to run it in Sport mode, I like it but often forget to turn it on. Getting better gas mileage is some of that FM computer shit.

I have a friend who is an electrician he loves his, I want one but don’t need one.

I wonder why no one noticed he has a TB, which still has the old 5.3 so a 2018 should be the correct one. It has AFM not DFM.

I hated the seats in my 2014 SLT, they were mush, the new seats require a lot of adjustment it took a bit to find the sweet spot. I drove 500 miles the morning after I bought it. I have made many 1000 mile trips with no issues, leave on one in the morning. I know everyone is different but like I said adjustment is the key. I am a 300 lb guy so maybe I just have built in padding but I am damn sure not easy on seats. I find I am less bothered than I was by the 2014 seats as the new ones have better support for my fat butt.

The switches are nothing to be afraid of, I have read lots of posts no to people have gotten the switches set the same way. Mine came in all up except 6, 5 and 6 are just the crossover point, 5 up 6 down will put more midrange through the sub by using a higher crossover point. 1, 2, 3 are output levels all up is the highest output level. 4 needs to be up or it won’t work. This amp is used in lots of applications it is not set for our trucks, the enclosure is designed for our trucks. If you don’t like the sound of the sub adjust the switches, you can always put them back just write it down. When you buy the sub they don’t know if you have the Bose or non Bose It works with both, the switch settings are different. The install is pretty straight forward but you will have to get the kick panel off, took me about an hour.

CBD

I can lock my keys in my AT4 with my phone, sometimes the button on the door works. There is a setting to turn off the 3 horn honks that tells you you locked your keys in the car, I turned that off maybe that has an effect.

Ask a dealer for an estimate to install it, should give you an idea with how much labor they charge.
