I also have a Gator. Really like it. I have owned several over the years. They all leak. Some just worse than others. The only leaks I have with the Gator is in the very corners. Has not cause me any issues as it just drips right down and out of the drain holes in the corners of bed. Everything still stays dry inside bed. I just don't put anything in the corners of the bed that I might not want a few drops of water on. Center stays completely dry between wheel wells.

No one has mentioned the tire I prefer. Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus. I've ran all the tires that have been mentioned and this is by far the best tire out of the bunch IMO. It is quiet and an excellent snow tire also. Tread life has been great. And, they come with outlined white letters if you like, as do the BFG's that were mentioned. I do rotate every 5k miles when I change oil. Price is on the lower end of the what the others cost. My truck came with the Goodyear Trail Runner. Hated that tire. I took them off before 10k miles and sold them as a set to the shop where I bought the Pirelli's from. They always buy my used tires as long as they are in good shape.

No need. I change every 5k with a full synthetic myself. Never had an issue and have owned several brand new vehicles over the past 36 years. Brand of oil really doesn't matter. They all make a good synthetic. Been using Walmart SuperTech oil since 2008 in all my vehicles and have never had an issue. It tests as good or better than Pennzoil and Mobil 1 full synthetic. Buy whatever oil makes you feel good and if you want to change it early go ahead, but not needed IMO.

It will not show up on anything unless you file it with insurance. I've never had anything to show up if I pay it myself and don't file. I would have it fixed if it were mine. I know it is a lot of money, but if you are not planning on keeping it for several years you need to fix it. I would have to have it fixed anyway myself, especially where the scratches are located.

I have owned over 40 vehicles in my lifetime and have never pre-filled a filter. Never had an issue either. If it makes you feel better do it. Is is necessary? The answer is no. I've heard of people doing it, but it really does not hurt either way.

Put them on my truck not long after I bought it. Love them. It is actually my wife's truck, and she thanks me on a regular basis for replacing the Rancho's with the 5100's. She noticed the difference immediately. Don't know what else to tell you.

19' Sierra with 43k miles. Dealer did fluid flush and change around 5k miles. Been fine ever since.

I have a 2019 Sierra SLT 4wd that I put Bilstein 5100's on and leveled at 1.5 inch. When I had mine realigned was nothing like that. Guy had to do very little and everything was put back to normal. Have not had any issues. If that is the specs after an alignment something is bad wrong. I would have someone else check.

More than likely need the fluid flushed and replaced. Had my done at about 5k miles. Cured my problem. The dealer should know all about this already. There is a bulletin on it for the fluid replacement. Gm is aware of the issue with this.

Exactly what I was thinking too. This is what I did to my 19' SLT PP and like it better than any AT4. The SLT PP is the best bang for your buck in a GMC. I've owned 2 of them and will buy another when I need another truck. The chrome does not bother me at all, and in 19' when I purchased the truck was a way better deal than the AT4 and the SLT had way more features. Heck it is basically a Denali without the name. Oh, and yeah I know you get the adaptive ride shocks or whatever with the Denali over the SLT PP, but the 10k price hike isn't even close to worth it for me.

That is an ugly truck to me. Looks worse than the new Silverado HD front end, and I didn't think anyone could make a more ugly front end than GM did with the HD, but hey, I was wrong. Good job Toyota. To me, it is hard to beat the style of the GMC/SIlverado 1500's. Previous gen Toyota looked better, and now they are down there with the Nissan Titan for styling. Wow.

As long as you do not just continually spray directly into the opening it is not going to hurt anything. It has a drain hole in the lowest part before it comes back up into the air box. I wash under my hood every time I wash my truck and never cover up the air intake inlet. What little bit gets in it drains out.

You never come out trading same for same. I'm sorry, no matter the incentives. They make all their money on the used one you trade, not on the new truck. As stated, since truck market is high on used trucks right now, that means to buy a new one it will be high also. When I bought my 2019 Sierra, got 15k off sticker with rebates and incentives before I was out any of my money. Traded a 2018 Sierra identical to the 2019 I bought. Cost me 6k to get a year newer model, and I got a really good deal. Looking at the 2019 Sierra that I currently own and comparing it to a 2021 model, nothing has changed, even the MSRP is the same, but the incentives are not there. Same truck that I bought for 45k 2 years ago with a sticker of 60k, is now 52k after rebates and incentives. They are only coming off price 8-9k at the dealership I buy from, which is also a high volume dealer for GMC, and has from what I have seen the lowest pricing of any GMC or Chevy dealer across the country. No matter the time, you are better off buying a vehicle and driving it several years before selling or buying another. That is just the facts. I hear all these stories about the deals people get and how they traded after 1 or 2 years and got this and that and didn't loose money. Sorry, that is hogwash, if that was the case dealerships would be out of business. They rip you one every time you trade or sell your slightly used vehicle for a new one. Now you can come out better selling yourself, but you are still loosing money. I know, I've given them plenty of my money over the years and will probably do it again, but not right now. IMO now is not the time to be trading or buying. I would wait it out. Just like what was said early, you count all the things you have done to your truck that you are getting rid of and it adds up. Not only did you just give someone all the extras you put on the truck for free, because they don't consider that when buying your truck, but now you will do the same to the new one. So in my case, tint, bed cover, tires, and shocks and a few other things comes out to be around 3k. So add it up. 6k loss on trade minimum, 3k in accessories, then another 3k to put same accessories on new truck. 12k minimum it just cost me to get the same truck I had with 26k less miles. Oh, and that does not count for the sales tax you have to pay again. That makes good sense doesn't it????

I just vacuum and wipe them down with a wet rag real good. I assume you are speaking of the rears? I don't have a lot of people in the back of my truck that much anyway, so it does not get very dirty at all. Yes, they can be very annoying to reinstall.

The trucks are good trucks. Is this 5.3 as good as the 2006 and back non AFM/DFM? Doubtful. But this is what we have now from GM. I have no doubt that the engines will outlast the rest of the truck. I'll take my chances as GM has served me well for 35 years of driving. It is a much better driving and handling truck than the previous generations, as long as you get rid of the crappy Rancho shocks. That is really my only complaint, but Bilstein's cured that, so I'm very happy! The answer to your question is YES!

I bought the shocks myself. Did the installation myself, which is not that hard. I paid a local shop $50 to remove the old shocks from springs and install new shocks with their spring compressor. Took them about 5 minutes to do it, and no one got hurt. I then reinstalled them back on the truck myself. I would say if you are just having them to do the installation around $100-150 is reasonable for labor. Really should only take about an hour at most at a shop on a lift. The rears are just a couple of bolts and nuts on each side, very easy. Can do it in your driveway in about 10 minutes. The front is a little more time consuming but not hard at all.

When you get them, I would set the fronts at 1.5, not 2. If you go 2 or higher and you pull a trailer, or put any weight in the rear of the truck, it really jacks the front up too high IMO. I went 1.5 inch on the front with the Bilstein 5100's and have been very pleased. Truck sits level at 1.5 also. And yes, you will need to have an alignment done after the shock install. The Bilstein 5100's make a huge difference in ride and handling over stock Rancho's. Love them.

What really helped on my truck was doing the cargo light/tailgate light on while in reverse mod. Very simple to do. Here is the link on this site. I used the diodes but soldered wire to the diodes and used taps on the trucks wiring for a better connection than shown in the thread. I was surprised at how much it really helps to see with the camera at night.

Agree, they did make changes after 2019 to them, but the main problem is not the tires, it is the crappy Rancho shocks if you have the off road package. I installed the Bilstein 5100's all the way around on my 2019 Sierra, and it is like driving a different truck. Could not believe the difference. Firmer ride, in a good way, and handles all roads so much better. No more bouncing all over the place over speed bumps or uneven pavement. This thing stays planted now. Money well spent for me. Should have come with these from factory IMO. Bilstein's were standard equipment on the 90's GM Z71's.

This is the one I used and it covers everything. Got it off Amazon for around $25. They have them for the 2019 and up Silverado and Sierra with or without multipro tailgate. I have the multipro with a hard tri-fold from Gator and both together do a really good job. It will come with instructions on how to install also. Very easy.

1/2 tons do not have any.

They have been doing the crossover pipe that way for the last 20 years. For clearance crossing over the tranny pan. No restriction issue whatsoever.
