  1. if you got milkyness in your catch can, I would replace the PCV valve, or wash the pcv out with crc cleaner, its not doing its job and probably plugged up
  2. power to weight ratio still favors Gas or diesel driveline, i see tesla dual motor animals, weight as much as a loaded denali, cant handle for ****** against a boosted Z06
  3. Bring back the Draft, too many useless unemployed people in my town, i want 3 years mandatory service after High school
  4. it's build for the shorter Latino market IMO, it feels closterphobic to me, i'm 6'2: 185 lbs tall torso. I cant stand the interior. i like head room, coming from a old K5, i see full size Land ROvers and MBZ G-wagons and I wish we had that kinda headroom
  5. i consider Shelby more Engineer/business man than a grease monkey
  6. maybe with e85 too i think the next variable in the equation in the manifold design, is the cam specs, vs. the Variable valve timing tuning to match the high revving camaro/vette motors Cam duration etc... i guarantee the trucks tune is way different, therefore there are power/torque losses when swapping the shorter runner set up.
  7. definatly, i learned a lot from Richard, guy saved me thousands of dollards just studying his work. everyone is obsesed with HP, the races are won with TOrque and handling tuning not HP.
  8. I would of bought one if it had a Bench seat , I hate buckets and the center divider... , raise the roofline and make the 5.3 stock motor, they would sell
  9. what oil are you using, just curious , as my oil consumption stopped when I went to a full ester based oil at 5w-30. I also use the Katec 175 t-stat so my oil stays cooler and doesn't thin out due to higher heat from the factory stat.
  10. you might be entering the "overheated" tables on the TCU, sounds fried, did you get to keep the core trans, would love to tear into it for diagnosis.
  11. i found the windows too small on the new colorado, and no shoulder room, roof is too low for me. i'de rather buy a base model silverado with a small engine than mess with a colorado
  12. try flushing the entire brake system with fresh fluid and a pressure tank over the master cylinder, maybe junk is building up or something is hanging up. get it on a lift and turn the tires by hand feel for drag. whats your mpg and gear ratio. my 2500hd gets 11 city 12 highway, this is normal for my gearing and weight
  13. my latest free upgrade was to delete the rear view mirror, its nice to see more out the window, my second best blind spot upgrade was removing passenger and rear seat head rests. try it, you'll like it!
  14. vette should have electric vac pump unlike trucks
  15. i still have the origional rotors and pads on my 2500HD from 2012, come to think about it it still has origional tires from way back then, i am on wear bars, but i tow several times a year. its also a weekly driver. and has about 50,000 miles total.
  16. yeah the interior isnt designed well, too cramped.. needs to be redesigned
  17. just wondering what the part number is for the trail boss
  18. just put a 4 inch lif on it and you'll feel better
  19. i took mine off last month, never been happier, better viewing out the front and no more accidental emergency dialing onstar when i adjust the mirror ,
  20. got any pictures of the jewel box, i'm curious as to what this machine looks like
  21. was it the Celts who discovered how to use a compass?
  22. i was hoping someone would come up with a way to easily build a giant 2 ton flywheel under ground instead. but i guess one must utilize everything you can for storage.. batteries and gen set too, maybe hydrogen storage and electrolosys of gasses into a weather balloon as a fuel tank source
  23. i only wish there was another way to store the generated energy besides batteries
  24. what's a 'jewel box" balanced bellows hydraulic speed control ????
  25. i got several balers , my big one that runs all day long gets an oil filter once a year, i believe its a 50-100 micron screen. i never changed the oil , but the filter change require a top up of about 1/2 gallon. oil tank is about 25 gallons. operating temp is 90-100 degrees, full oil change would probably cost $500. i might top up a balers oil tank every 3-4 years, maybe drain it 6-10 years, but the tanks are huge best thing one can do to your gm trans, is big trans pan , aux filter or bi-pass filter, tt-stat delete, and GM's new torque management technology, should last 250k miles if all is well
