  1. FYI, good luck getting a vacuum pump if the dealer doesn’t have it in stock. My truck sat at the dealer for 3 days (including outside during the Dallas Tornado event this last weekend but luckily mine was unsacathed) before they informed me they couldn’t get the part any time soon due to the strike. Your mileage may vary, obviously, but bottom line, call the svc department and confirm pump availability first.
  2. No I didn’t. I’m the one that said don’t mention oil. Haha, see how that turns out?
  3. Ok, let’s stop here while we’re ahead. My bad for even mentioning oil here - You always gotta shill Amsoil on this site, lmao.
  4. Or any about your preferred brand of oil...
  5. No need for the snark, dude. pgamboa does more for this community than 99% of any other members or vendors. There’s no way he can keep up with every single question, every single day.
  6. I worked for Toyota up until 2006, and they released some trannies with that "world standard" lifetime fluid. No dipstick, even back then. This isn't really a new thing.
  7. I've always used Goo Gone, then gave it a bath and wax afterward. Haven't had any issues.
  8. Oh wow. That’s impressive. Also kinda cool to see my old stomping grounds on here.
  9. I don't know, man, I know plenty of gas-powered vibrators out there... They just happen to be late model GM products with the "Chevy Shake" or running on a dead cylinder or 3
  10. This is what I'm super interested in too. If they can get battery development to the point of seeing 400-500 miles range, I'd buy one in a heartbeat. Loaded down and pulling a trailer all the time may be better suited for ICE applications, though. Charging station infrastructure just isn't quite there yet. That said, hot-shotters and such that haul long distance will likely go for the HD/Diesel options anyway, but the occasional short load haul for an electric truck could be practical. Pulling a camper/boat across the state, however... It'll be interesting to see!
  11. Very nice. I like the fact that this switch has an NC terminal to route the existing circuit through so it still functions with the cargo switch and lamp circuit, much like a 5 pin relay.
  12. If you deactivate AFM and tune for it then that's probably possible, but a better route is to use the electric vacuum pump like the Vettes have. The thoughts behind implementing the vacuum pump was due to the reduced manifold vacuum in V4 mode.
  13. Indeed, what I was getting at is that there is a component or components that are different that are not causing this issue on the T1 (knock on wood). If it’s the relationship of all the components on the K2 causing it, then so be it. It’s just my inquiring mind that’s curious if it can be pinpointed.
  14. Good on you for holding your ground; they're putting their chips on making the money on your trade. Sounds like what you were dealing with is the typical scenario with salesfolks - inflated ego and inability to admit when they're wrong.
  15. I'm betting he gets calls this weekend, especially if they are a volume dealer. This happens to be not only end of month, but also end of 2Q19...
  16. After we have a large enough sample size of no confirmed issues on the T1 platform with plenty of miles on the road, it would be amazing if someone out there could thoroughly document the changes to the frame/driveline/etc between the 2 and try to conclude what may have been the issue on the K2's. Other than that, we may indeed never get a definitive answer on this topic.

  18. This is why we can’t have nice things. [emoji36] Sent from somewhere in the clouds
