  1. funny cuz I was all set to get 2500 and talked myself into 1500 which is fine really, but 2500 would be a lot better at certain times (payload wise)….now new truck feeling has wore off I kind of regret not getting 2500....payload and 8ft bed would really help for my construction work and bigger gas engine would be nice (not diesel motor fan and don't tow so it works out).....maybe in cpl yrs.
  2. mine has smooth as silk....been waiting to do anything because it rides so good, cept for body roll... I did have Toyota that had shake at 60mph and never got remedied.....tried everything even new rear axles, it did have bigger rims and tires so.....
  3. usually better off selling privately, dealers will almost always be way less than what you can get....bit more work but I think its worth it ...
  4. ^^^^ only time I will buy a truck is late summer to new year.....why pay more if you don't have too think spring they have a period too where theyre are some good deals
  5. when something like this starts happening take your cell phone and record it on video, may help idk.....at least youll have a documentation of the problem when it happens....
  6. yeah i really am kicking myself in arse for not getting bucket seats( never again), hate not having a console how much did console swap set you back?....i don't even care if usb inside don't work the front 2 are more than enough
  7. very good.....its a game and you just have to play it, and you played it well learned that trick in my 20's....if you have ability to walk away you will always come out ahead...i cant even count how many times ive walked out of a dealership of some kind of motor vehicle or another, it always works in my favor ...but not everyone can do it sadly
  8. My bad, thought that what you meant
  9. I still look over my shoulder, just used to it and trust my eyes …..but have no issues wit camera
  10. LT trail boss will have it Z71 has nothing to do sport mode I believe some models have 4 modes as well, trailer, normal, sport and offroad (maybe), someone else probably knows I used it more when truck was new, but since haven't used it as much....just lazy I guess or don't care much, lol
  11. very smart way to do it!.....its going to same as trail boss and for probably less
  12. they have those kits for tailgate all over ebay for cheap ( think mine were like $20)…..the front would just be a colored plate I would think to stick behind the grill
  13. had probably 5 or 6 stes of offroad tires and cant ever remember running any of em below 40 PSI.....my stock silverados are at 32 which seems too "squishy" to me but they are radials with nitrogen so just haven't got to a place to fill em up a bit....in colder climate you should be able to get away with lil higher PSI as heat isn't as much a factor..... summer is different story my BFG's I ran about 45-50 psi normally, and I wasn't super anal about it so, just know I ran em at that and seemed fine....if I was serious at offroading I probably would have been and dialed em in dependent on terrain....just ran em on dirt roads, trails, and hwy...
  14. It's not like its longer axle on same truck (2018)..maybe becuz truck is wider or since diff is narrower like you say it needs longer axle, idk..."point a to point b" ...they put new CV axles in GM factory lift and it's only 2 in....I just hear peeps with vibration issues relate it to this alot.... If it were my truck I would take out wedges....makes no sense to have taper block and use wedge to take taper out and it's another piece that has "joint" so to speak Mechanics are funny thing, everything effects everything it seems, leaving alot to "scratch their head wondering" Start with easiest and work your way from there Good luck hope it works out
  15. maybe a diff drop?..think most quality 4in lifts use em... does seem weird to have tapered block and than use a shim to take "taper" out don't you think?....could have just made block flat in first place....no need to put an extra piece in there....just using common sense but idk may be trial and error....shim is easy to remove it seems
  16. what not just get leather from factory?....is this way better?
  17. where did you get those risers for seat @?.....seats on these trucks are way too low, seem to want to "spill" you off front and are very firm.....wouldn't mind putting in a riser for passenger side if they have one tilts seat back a bit that would be even better but idk probably not
  18. kinda hard to see, but get the idea
  19. I did carbon fiber black on my white RST, the carbon look is subtle but I like it.....they were only like $15 so easy and cheap to change or take off.....I like it and don't see too many with letters on tailgate where I live
  20. so custom TB doesn't have anything behind the wheel for volume and channel changing....I know they have plate on face of wheel on right side that normally does phone and cluster.....but no paddles behind wheel on both sides either?
  21. there is 2 kits....one for 2wd and one for 4wd....idk why motor would even matter, I cant see why it would unless there isn't room for some reason but there are plenty of other options anyway, Eibach has their pro truck sport lift now and just buy block for rear, its essentially same type of kit (longer shocks with adjustable clip up front and your springs or theirs)….cheaper too.....under 1k installed......would imagine ranchos, bilsteins, and eibachs to be very very similar you have options tho..
  22. 2019 and 2020 haven't changed....maybe just because its different year but truck is same, just get one for your year.....internet can be lousy sometimes....its probably the LT scenario that is limiting the models in 2019
  23. this is exactly how they should come from factory......perfect!...not to high or low and very proportionate so really all you need is a 3.5 lift with coilover up front and 2" block in back, for me I wouldn't want a strut with clip preloading the spring with another spacer added also adding even more preload.....seems like too much preload on spring... I talked to KING yesterday and they make a "trail boss" coilover kit currently to replace ranchos, but idk why you would do that if you have a TB....pay extra for TB and then scrap out a kit you just paid a lot money for. but they do make it....$2500....this is route I am headed I believe...but really would like another inch in front, a UCA will get hair more height supposedly....don't mind a lil bit of rake actually, maybe 1/2 to 3/4 if that's doable.... but your truck looks very "classy" and OEM.....I like that look common sense says this GM kit will fit models with composite spring they just don't want you to do it, no reason it wont work, your just putting a block in there no different than way it already is.....like someone said just buy a leaf if it concerns you but I cannot see why it wouldn't work.....makes no sense other than GM wants their TB sales
  24. that is so weird, may gas is reversed....meaning its on right side and closed off DEF is on left
  25. that really sucks guys, ive known or heard this tho of every brand Toyota not nearly as much for sure.I did own 2 new tundras and my 2000 tundra was super solid, my 2005 not as solid as 2000 but still good, and I just got recall awhile ago on it for air bag ( 14 yrs later).....I just don't like new tundras and while they are reliable I don't want a vehicle just because its reliable and that's only reason...my Silverado been solid so far and am sure none of manufacturers want to take their vehicles back.....they all have recalls but what you guys are going thru is horrendous and I would be trying to get back every cent, tax is money you paid on a purchase and if that purchase is recalled or cancelledthan what are you paying tax on?...no way they can keep tax if they take vehicle back, or dest, title, lic and docs for that matter..... they send you all these surveys and emails after purchase about your satisfaction and how they strive to be best.....right up until your truck takes a shit!
