  1. yeah I talked to eibach today and their pro truck sport shocks are available now, but not springs....jan for those, and june for coilover kit....still good deal, I am 20 miles away from them so I cant escape tax....still debating between kings the sales guy said ride quality isn't effected at all however you set ride height on fronts but find it hard to believe snuff are you just gonna run stock springs with yours? the stock suspension really does suck on these trucks, even on concrete freeway, cant imagine if I actually took it offroad
  2. Yeah I wasn't sure, that's good to know
  3. just look like 2500 HD, not too bad actually good, you will be able to tell how truck rides with just lift b4 tires and wheels, and how that effects ride as well...I probably do same even though it will need 2 alignments I am guessing for stock wheels and aftrmrkt
  4. yeah stock Silverado is pretty plush but body does move around too much, and it does not feel planted, it feels very loose, even in 4x4 model I have (but what do I expect from AC delco shocks).....love to retain suppleness but gain stability, firmer can be good thing....sure any shock cant be worse than stock, but I don't want mine super stiff as I have heard some complain about when lifting....ill keep my 18in wheels I like more sidewall.....and yeah tires and rim size can have huge effect on ride and when you lift and do new wheels might be hard to determine what causes what......suspension and ride is #1 priority your truck looks great. love GMC's think 3.5 is perfect, your truck looks well balanced and proportionate
  5. I would never buy ranchos or even buy a new truck upgraded with them, think z71 has em….ill do all suspension myself and just want interior options from manfctr….fabtech and rancho never again....seems a lot of peeps get spacer leveling only to lift it later ….just do it one time the right way
  6. yes this is nice option......seats are crazy low, I have power but passenger does not....if you hit something hard enough to shear it your probably toast anyway....its no different than any modification you make to your truck and sure insurance co will question every one of em…..I was actually in an accident where a persons seat did shear and seatbelt as well...even so I wouldn't be too worried about it this isn't just a trail boss issue its any Silverado with manual adjustable seats
  7. I used to do it on my motocross race bikes when they were new, but found out they actually run em a bit b4 they hit salesfloor....my KTM had a magnetic drain plug that would catch the little shavings.....on my truck I am not too worried but yeah not bad idea to do
  8. mine was already factored in when we were negotiating.....I couldn't even tell you what specific rebates were I just looked at selling price....rest I could care less about, no chevy, dodge or ford even would give me a comparable truck for same price that I got in my area,i spent 2 months looking researching..... best bet is do your negotiating thru emails or texts, screw goin to dealership nowadays......only to pick it up and sign papers they play on emotion and thru a phone or email their is none......not that they can see anyway
  9. damn, that was quick..... just now gna change it at 5k,
  10. the new truck seats are way too low, I am 6ft tall and without power seat I have it would be impossible to get comfy...…. and why is foam so stiff in new ones? it could be tad softer imo….. was so close to getting a custom TB for same price as my RST and so so glad I didn't!.....I probably would have brought it back.. I would like to raise passenger side 1 inch + tho
  11. yeah I have to work out of my truck so 6 in is too much.....and I will never need it, but everyone is different still stuck on 3in front with king and 1.5 block in back and UCA's.... the new T1 is tough truck to get looking proportionate, seen many lifted but not many that fit my eye most crucial for me is performance as stated earlier, if it doesn't perform better for what I want its useless, just looking taller or "cool" isn't enough.... truck above is one of better ones I seen @ 6in height....looks like a bigger TB I mean after all I didn't buy a brand new truck to go fuk it up either with cheap lift (done that) or by beating crap out of it offroad of course I want it to look good but that's preference anyhow, only matters to one making payment every month, lol
  12. I didnt buy one bcuz of cluster setup, console, and blank plate on right side of steering wheel.....basically a W/T with a 2in rancho lift and really I can add a better lift for less money.....but interior is alot harder to do........sucks cuz I really liked idea and look of truck but once you really break it down your paying alot of money for rancho lift..... And seats are really low in new silverados, idk why but crazy how low they are..... Steering wheel and cluster I can kind of understand but no storage in console is just friggen ridiculous......look at how many peeps are trying to get storage in there custom TB.......on truck with that pricetag there is no excuse! I was totally shocked!
  13. Silverado is tricky truck to get lookin good with lifts and even stock, not a fan of chubby look I see so many of....I probably go for more of stock look just bit taller same for tires.......looks good
  14. cant believe they want almost 1k for set of plastic boxes.....way overpriced
  15. its a lot easier to add wheels and lift than try and get interior options....and can even make it better than TB
  16. I can run a 4in lift, UCA,s with KING 2.5 coilovers and rears for way less than TB LT, which is what I would basically have...….and with much better suspension....I had fabtech lift b4 and suspension was shit, was along time ago though idk, just thought I was missing something would rather get LTZ 6.2l and do the KING setup....
  17. I don't understand why so many of you paid for trail bosses and AT4 trucks only to remove and stick 6 inch lift on em or even add to stock lift...…..why not just buy a standard 4x4 in any trim and than do a lift?......would save a lot of money I would think those models were easily 10k plus more than my RST...…so what am I missing?
  18. coilovers for sure....cst does offer 7 stages in their kits and upper end stages come with rear shocks as well, and resovoirs but just don't know much about their shocks cant go wrong with KINGS.....probably way I am going to go.....more money but shocks are serviceable and only have to do it once
  19. yeah but are shocks any good?.....for me suspension is more important than just height, most lifted ones I see they went for height, rims, and tires as main goal.... no rear shocks it looks like, how makes their suspension I wonder
  20. damn that sucks, and damn you really went all out.....20k difference in price I bet
  21. cant believe LED aren't just standard lights by now, in every car.....I do have em on my RST and coming off a tundra with halos its not even a comparison....but they should be stock on any car by now
  22. idk at what height the geometry starts to be effected....level is probably fine but I would guess 3-4 inch maybe not...I want mine to ride better than stock, otherwise whats the point, lol.....and also debating bcuz of gas mileage, not a young kid so just looking cool is not the point anymore.....want to be able to see farther ahead in traffic, better overall ride, and maybe better performance offroad if I go...….will keep stock rims most likely....my rims are fine, I like stock look was looking at KING setup with UCA, only 2.5 front and 1 inch rear block tho….otherwise a 3in or 4in would have to be done separate from shocks....and also getting shocks custom valved (which isn't really super hard to do) but can make a difference am in no hurry tho, ill wear out my factory tires (actually better for rain anyway)....so funny, I cant seem to spend money without a purpose like I did when I was younger...
  23. that's about as high as I want to go but will not use spacer to achieve it, pay for what you get rule usually applies...heard of more people screw up their brand new truck trying to do the most for cheapest...or spend twice the amt to do it right after the cheaper setup.....not worth it I had a fab tech lift back a few yrs ago and will never use that brand again.....RC idk prolly not either get the lift that corrects the geometries as well, than order some good suspension......cost more but a lot of peeps end up doing it anyway dtl…...do it right the first time
  24. idk, I have 4x4 RST but do not like idea of cheap level kit or spacer lift...I know economically its easy and cheaper to do but I will wait and do suspension type kit....just seems wrong to do it that way for sole purpose of raising nose to put bigger tire on....my main reason is to do it is better suspension vs lift....I want both but suspension quality/ride is no.1....costs a lot more but will wait til I can afford it vs quick fix any kit will look same tho, cant imagine 1 companies 2 inch or level kit looking different than another....
  25. Looks stock with no level or lift, is that correct?
