  1. I believe it is both. If you manually start it and wait a few minutes with the cab doors closed you will probably smell it. Most people get in, start it, and go, so no exhaust leak has time to get into the cab. Using the remote start and running for 10 minutes or so gives it time to vent into the cab. It must be a cold start too. So if you take it to the dealer, drop it off the night before, leave it outside, and have them remote or manual start it cold and idle for 10 minutes with the cab doors closed to replicate the smell.
  2. Hey Trey, I got my kit for around $1000. Look around online. There are many GM parts stores or even eBay that have the kit. Some of the GM stores use coupon discount codes (%off, free shipping), so search around for those. Just make sure you verify you are ordering the correct part #. I had my dealer install the kit including alignment for $500. Zone kit was $157 and $399 for RC UCAs. I installed those myself, except I had a shop install the Zone spacers onto the shocks since I didn't want to mess around with the spring compressors. That was $150. Plus another alignment $100. So my total was around $2300.
  3. You're the man Rob. This is not just a google pixel 3 issue. I shared that article as an example. I also previously shared a link to the Google support site. It is a widespread android software issue that was caused by a recent update. Mine worked flawlessly for 12 months until a mid December update. It still doesn't work for me . If you guys would do a bit of research before bashing people just offering ideas of what could be the root of the OPs issue. Hell, I am still trying to figure mine out. You can be the know-it-all and fix the OP's software issue. Over and out.
  4. I take that back. DO NOT BUY THESE. I looked at them yesterday, and they are completely rusted.
  5. If you read the freakin article it is not only android auto issue, but android and google chrome software issue. Good luck.
  6. I think it is a Android issue. https://www.autoevolution.com/news/google-releases-new-major-android-auto-patch-as-part-of-operating-system-update-157005.html
  7. Everyone should report these issues here. Maybe Android will get off of their a$$ and fix the software problem. So frustrated. https://support.google.com/androidauto/community?hl=en
  8. I got these and they work well. https://www.ebay.com/itm/24-Pc-2017-2020-CHEVY-1500-BLACK-OEM-TYPE-SOLID-WHEEL-LUG-NUTS-14x1-50-1709LBK-/273869403742?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292
  9. I have a 2020 Elevation and mine is doing the same after the most recent android auto app update. Mine worked flawlessly prior. I am not sure what to do. I may try to delete the app, then reinstall a previous version of the android auto app (Nov/Dec 2020 version). I'm kinda pissed because I used mine all of the time.
  10. Thanks! Is there a TSB # associated with this? Perfect timing. Mine is going back to the shop for the 4th time.
  11. I installed these in my Elevation. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07VNQ646S?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
  12. No, I have the steel springs. No regrets.
  13. Well, mine is back in for the third time for the same exhaust smell in the cab. Not as bad as the last time, but still problematic. Cold start, idle in park, then can smell exhaust after about 90 seconds. It has to be that Def injector clamp. This sucks.
  14. If you are looking for a deal on UCAs, I found these discontinued Rough Country UCAs on eBay for $120. Not sure of the quality though. https://www.ebay.com/itm/S-D-GM-FABRICATED-UPPER-CONTROL-ARMS-19-20-1500-PICKUPS-3-to-3-5-Lifts-/184284279832?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292
  15. If you are looking for great gas mileage, great power/torque, excellent towing performance, and an overall smooth driving truck, I highly recommend the 3.0 with the 10 speed. I regularly get 25 - 30 mpg in my AT4 with standard bed. This is unheard of in a full size 4x4 truck. The 150k oil pump belt negative talk is nonsense. No different than all of the Honda's, Toyota's, Nissan's on the roads that have to change the timing belt at 125k. Plus the 3.0 comes with a 100k warranty.
  16. Oh, one other thing to keep in mind, some lift kits can cause clearance issues with the UCAs depending on the size wheels and tires you plan to run. You need to carefully research and plan this out before investing in the lift, tires and wheels.
  17. No worries. This site can be difficult to find what you are looking for if you don't use the right search words and spend a ton of time reviewing the threads. Just be sure to keep in mind with adding any lift/level you want some rake up front if you plan to haul or trailer. The Bilstein shocks alone will only level your Elevation up front. I'm not familiar with the Super lift kit, but based on the description it will lift and level your Elevation: 3" in the front and 1.5" in the rear. Plus you get upper control arms. This kit uses your stock front shocks. Do a search on the Superlift kit. Looks nice and priced real reasonable. I have an Elevation also. I went with the GM factory 2" lift, and then added the Zone Offroad 1.75" level and Rough Country UCAs. This was a much more expensive route, but you get the extended AT4/Trail Boss axles, longer Rancho shocks, and gm warranty, which the other lift kits don't have.
  18. The dealer is misinformed. I have the 3.0 and my dealer installed the 2" kit. The limitation has nothing to do with whether the vehicle is equiped with the 3.0. The kit is incompatible if the truck is a regular cab, Trail Boss (duh), max trailering, snow plow prep, or has composite rear leaf springs. That description on the chevy accessories site is poorly written. If you have composite leaf springs you can replace them with the steel ones and then add the 2" kit. That is getting really expensive though. Do a search on this site. There are plenty of discussions on the 2" kit and composite leaf springs.
  19. The part numbers for the def injector and clamp are listed on the invoice. The dealer said the main culprit is the clamp, but replaced both. Just FYI, I did not have the exhaust smell (for 9,000 miles) until the dealer replaced a bad def injector. I had to bring it back a second time and they replaced the injector and clamp again. This took over 3 months. The def injector and clamps are in short supply nationwide. Fingers crossed, it seems to be gone.
  20. In my opinion for a level, I would not go over 1.75" and would invest in new UCAs (correcting the angle) at the same time. I went with the Zone Offroad 1.75" and Rough Country UCAs. I think it is the perfect stance with a little rake. If you plan to haul anything, you are going to want some rake, not only for appearance but for handling. I always laugh at trucks going down the road hauling with too much level. Not to mention it is really dangerous.
  21. I dropped my truck off at the dealer the evening before service so the techs were able to immediately replicate the exhaust smell at cold startup the next morning.
