Yeah, umm, NOPE. My 2020 Silverado was built in June. I've seen some people on this forum post up theirs was built in July and August. The 2021s were not "in full swing" in February or March. Iirc, you couldn't even order 2021s until last month. The truth is GM enacted development freezes company-wide to make sure they had the cash needed to come out of the pandemic with the ability to keep making cars. The new interiors were originally planned to go into Silverados and Sierras for the 2021 model year, when the new Tahoe and Suburban came out. That got pushed back due to COVID. Your opinion that GM interiors are in 4th place is just that -- your opinion. Others, like myself, prefer the current interior over the upcoming one. I bought a truck, not a car. I want a truck interior with a truck column shifter. The push/pull buttons on the new interior is not what I want in my truck. I considered waiting. I thought about waiting for the new interior, and then thought about waiting for the ZR2, but I chose to buy now because I prefer the current interior. I looked at Ram. Yes, it has a nice interior, but Ram also has a history of electrical failure. I also don't like the turn knob transmission selector. I looked at a Tundra TRD Pro, but wasn't comfortable with their interior (and mpg sucked). I thought the Titan interior was the worst executed. Those big cutouts on both sides of the radio look like they should be air vents, but Nissan put in vents that were half the size. The red bezels in the dash were poorly executed. Ram did a much better job with their red adverbs on the interior. My biggest gripe about GM interiors is the packaging. A loaded $60k LT Trail Boss without power lift gate, GPS (not talking about Android Auto/Apple Carplay), wireless charging, memory power seats, cooled leather seats, and power everything towing mirrors with all the cameras is absolutely stupid. Some things I care more about than others, such as wireless charging and GPS. And, GM didn't fix any of these issues with the 2021s. A loaded 2021 High Country is only a little bit more. If data is skewed for 1 quarter, then it's skewed for everybody for 1 quarter. Fact is, while Ram and Ford had trucks on their lots to sell, Chevy dealers. I don't think the half ton trucks will get the L8T. The L8T makes less horsepower (401 @ 5200rpm vs 420 @ 5600rpm), and almost the same torque (464 @ 4000rpm vs 460 @ 4100), than the L87. The block is cast iron instead of aluminum, thus increasing weight. Compression ratio is lower (10.8:1 vs 11.5:1). The bore is exactly the same (103.25mm), while the stroke is minimally longer (98mm vs 92mm). I'm not an expert, but based on the numbers I think the larger displacement may have to do more with cooling capability since the L8T is expected to haul heavier loads. With the half ton trucks maxing out at 13,400 lbs, the L87 is perfect for what it's being used to do. And, given the L87 is based on the LT1, it's going to have the tooling paid for already, which makes it a more profitable engine for GM to produce and sell. I think they should just get you a rental car so you can return their truck. This way they can still have your truck to repair. Paying for a rental car means lateral money out of their pocket, whereas they'll eventually be able to sell the "Demo" vehicle you're in for at new prices and all carries a full warranty. Yes. Sport mode is more "sporty". More aggressive tuning and shift points. If i drove a street truck I'd use this mode all the time. I have a truck made for dirt (Trail Boss), so i keep it on normal when cruising on the street. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

Were you going downhill when this happened? I had the same exact issue about 4 weeks ago, but since nothing mechanical was going on I was able to pull off the freeway and get to a truck stop. I called my brother since he's a mechanic. Told him what happened. It amounted to nothing more than an electrical gremlin. He said to turn off the truck and then turn it back on. When I turned it back on everything was cleared and fine. A few weeks later I took my truck to the dealer for an accessory to be installed and told them about what happened and asked them to check for codes. No codes found. Did you experience any weather in your area that drastically and suddenly changed? I've seen windows shatter while a car was just sitting due to a rapidly incoming storm. Granted, this normally occurred with larger side windows that were on minivans and Suburbans, but it could happen to smaller windows, too. I worked in the rental car industry for several years long ago. This typically happened in our overflow lot at the airport, which had no buildings to nearby to buffer the wind. Another possibility could be taking a hot truck through a cold carwash. The sudden temperature change would crack windshields with no prior damage like rock chips. Not according to federal law. I don't give a [emoji90] about the labor being warranted if I do the work myself. However, they can't void the parts warranty unless I've done something to alter or modify the part in any way. It's the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. And, on accessories.chevrolet.com, when you click on the Warranty button for any given accessory it does not state that warranty only applies if a dealership technician installs it. Dealers are required to comply with GM's Dexos requirement. "Bulk fill" oil can't be used if it doesn't fulfill GM's requirements. Emissions carries a 8 year/80,000 mile "warranty" per federal law. I don't remember the exact term, nor what's covered. Just know that I've had the benefit of it before.
