The dealer in San Diego that just installed my GM Accessories Baja Designs offroad light is very aware of the rear window leak, and they aren't that big of a dealer. I've been here for over 3 weeks now, and it hasn't rained yet. I know Texas has had rain since I left it a little over a month ago. I'm in the same boat as you. 6.2 Trail Boss built 6/20. I have 5900 miles on mine already. Only issue I've experienced so far was cruise control turning off and a CEL turning on while cruising down a big hill on I-15 in Western California. Engine was fine. No strange noises, so I took the nearest exit, pulled into a truck stop, and called my brother. He's a mechanic, and is familiar with that stretch of highway. He said many cars experience difficulty going down that same hill with cruise control on. He said turning off the truck, and then turning it back on should help out. It did. My truck was in the shop shortly after to have an accessory installed. I asked them to scan for codes. Nothing came up. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

It also sounds like they are utilizing what's known as a retarder when they say, "A unique transmission calibration helps leverage as much engine braking as possible.". A retarder works in the transmission to create the affect of engine breaking, but doesn't create the loud noise diesel engines are known for when an engine brake, aka jake brake, is utilized. GM has been manufacturing retarders for decades, mostly in commercial busses made by Gillig. Anybody that has experience driving a Gillig bus (Low Floor or Phantom) can tell you retarders can make for bad situations in slick conditions like snow or ice. I don't have any pics. Will a video suffice? I met up with V8 Junkie today so he could do an honest comparison between his Trail Boss Custom with 5.3 and 8-speed and my Trail Boss LT w/ 6.2 and 10-speed. It's not a recall. They only issued a TSB. They won't do anything until something breaks. My truck was built in June 2020, so I'm in the same category. My truck was at the dealership last week getting offroad lights wired in. I asked them to take a look and showed them the TSB. They said nothing was wrong at the time of inspection, so they weren't going to touch it. They also looked for a leak in the rear window and found nothing. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

Here are some pics you requested. I couldn't find my latter, but I was able to locate my ladder so I could get you a raised front view. Wiring from the light is run through the light bar, down into the passenger side bed wall so that it goes under the truck, run under the cab, and into the engine bay. As for illumination, I turned it on a few times last night to check out how the light was projected. I didn't want to annoy my neighbors, so it was brief. From my perspective it was projecting forward, but there was some light scattering out at an angle. When you look at the light bar you'll see the lights are arranged in 4 segments. The lens on both the left and right of each segment are ruined so they scatter light. The 6 lights between them are crystal lenses so the light is focused forward. Got a call around 12:30 today from the dealership. They said the truck was done. Turns out the problem was the battery in the remote. Why this kit doesn't have a manual switch installed in the truck is perplexing. The only way to turn on/off the light is via a remote that hands from your keys. I wonder if there's a way to get these to work with an auxiliary switch should I go that route? Biggest problem is the 2 strobe features. Negative impressions on this are that it's way too small for the truck. Imo, it should've been bigger. It's both too thin in height and width. The bracket mounting the light to the sport bar is bigger than the side profile of the light. Also, it uses 4 smaller covers instead of 1 big cover, and they aren't that convenient in removing. The positives are the light is bright. It's very bright, like it should be. It also has 2 strobe speeds, but the strobe affect is the same. One setting is just faster than the other. The light cover(s) seems very durable. It's not too difficult to put them on or take them off. Overall, for the money I paid I wouldn't do this again knowing what I know now. However, if your ultimate goal is to have a functional offroad light that mounts to your truck without modifying anything, nor affecting any part of your warranty, then this will work for you. I was able to fit in parking garages with a maximum height of 7 feet. Now the height of my truck is 7 feet 4 inches. For appearance, the light doesn't flow with the truck. While the truck is big, the light seems paper thin and the mounting bracket is big. Aesthetically it doesn't flow with the rest of the truck.

Got my truck back from the dealership today. They installed the light bar you can purchase through GM Accessories. It's bright, and has more features than I thought it would, but I'm a bit disappointed in how think it is, especially in relation to the truck and the sport bar it sits on.
