  1. Yeah exactly the same, have not been able to pinpoint it, and it comes and goes based on temperature it seems. Makes me wonder if its simply just expansion vs contraction of the plastics Not sure the trans harness would be my issue, but the screws would make sense. I'll have to see what the dealership thinks, and I may just wait until it gets worse (hopefully not) before taking it in to ensure they actually can fix it and not give the "couldnt replicate what your talking about"
  2. I cannot understand this, its such a creature comfort that is simple and blows my mind they have not included it. When I'm spending close to 100k (cdn) for a truck I expect to get options such as this as STANDARD. My old BMW, MB from the late 2000's had them as standard options and so did older GM trucks, so I simply do not understand it.
  3. Anyone experiencing a slight dash rattle in their 2019+? Feels/sounds like its coming from the centre around the defrost vent or possibly the sunglass holder but I doubt its that piece. I'm having a hard time pinpointing where it is exactly coming from. The rattle has basically come out of no where, no noticeable rattle/sounds prior to the last few weeks. It is winter now and it is damn cold up here in Canadian prairies, but other than being parked outside during work day its parked in a heated garage the rest of the time. I suppose it could be the cold, but like I said i can still hear it when driving to work after pulling out of the garage after driving for 20-25mins Anyone dealing with the same or hearing the same and able to tell me where it is coming from/the fix?
  4. Clear bra would be what I'd suggest over the bug deflector/guard. Nearly invisible, after it gets beat up, peel off and have new one installed.
  5. The Lexus 460 is a beloved vehicle, you did not enjoy it? The Q7, I was not a fan at all, I'd take 6.2 over Q7 every day all day.
  6. 6 months now with the 6.2 Denali and no issues. Great vehicle. Will I buy another one, no but thats not a truck issue, but would I buy another one if I had to, absolutely. Trucks been great and engine is fantastic.
  7. Now that is a clean looking truck
  8. If you ever haul anything in the back you will love having it, and if you don't have it you will regret it the first time you do haul something. Its one of the best features and definitely helps when I have the wife will be to load something. I'd but it 1000x over. Just remove hitch when not using it like others have mentioned.
  9. if you have coated it enough bugs come off rather easily. You could also add the top clearcoat, it helps and makes it less "rubber" feel. I've done enough of it that it comes down to how many coats and how you applied it to create the proper look and feel. Obviously it will never look like paint, but for a high chip zone like the grille, plasti-dip is great on an vehicle just because of the ease you can fix it.
  10. It fits your truck and what you like on your truck is all that matters, but the chrome look is no longer the popular "thing" anymore in the industry. Currently blackout, night packages, etc. are the look and imo even just mono color looks of any color are far more popular. I'm form the opposite end as you, I have a denali and I got rid of almost every piece of chrome on it. Can't stand it. But that is why I love vehicles, you make it your own, and your happy thats what matters. They could definitely offer it as an exterior option, but I wouldn't think having it as standard would be a wise idea currently.
  11. it sounds awesome! and welcome to the Canada car tax lol
  12. That turned out really good. If you take care of plasti-dip, which is literally just cleaning it lol, it will last a really long time. Its all about the prep and paint stage, along with number of coats. The biggest plus for plasti-dip is touch-ups are a breeze!!!
  13. 2020 Denali 6.2, I had two flappers
  14. I believe Borla finally offered the ATAK in a CB for the 6.2, previously they had not so I'd double check on that. I'm sure someone can correct me if I'm wrong, they probably do by now. I had a custom setup made for me with the ATAK muffler and it sounds great. I will say the ATAK is LOUD, so that better be what you want otherwise I'd suggest the S-Type or you could go with the XS but to me those are barely louder than stock. Borla does come with a little drone, some people will say a lot, some will say not really, it seems to vary. If you get a CB though the drone should not really be an issue. I have never had Corsa on my truck, but if comparing my truck setup to Corsa on the vette, the Corsa is little quieter overall but a lot quieter on highway.
  15. What did you end up doing with the front grille? paint it?
  16. I wouldn't suggest plasti-dip for handles, it just won't hold up. I would also not suggest vinyl for the "button" as its just to small of a surface area, it might hold, but it might also not. The best bet is what Kodiak suggested, if zero chrome is your look than have them painted. Mine are black with the chrome button, and my denali is blacked out. I don't even notice anymore.
  17. Doing it myself just gives me peace of mind, I get to know exactly what is going into my truck and honestly I love blasting the radio while doing it for the 20-25mins it takes at a normal pace. Only downside I have ever experienced is the winter changes here and having to take the oil somewhere, but those are just minor gripes
  18. Lot of my friends tell me not to do the handles at all, since I have some chrome still on the grille, so I might leave them. I already have the vinyl so I'll probably do them in spring and see what I think. Still a far cry from the giant mountain of chrome it is when you first buy it though ?
  19. This. Or even dip them. Both are cost effective, last and look good. You could replace them but I think the other methods we both mentioned make more sense.
  20. I have a black ultimate, its been blacked out through a combination of paint/vinyl/dip. I did the brake light, removed most emblems but kept a few and blacked them out, mirror caps, running boards, fog surrounds, skid plate, majority of grille and window trim. Handles getting wrapped when it gets warmer here. Wheels were replaced. Basically I created my own midnight edition denali, feel like it should have come this way from factory You have to make the decision on what you like, many buy the denali for the chrome and some are like me who didn't want any of it. I'm over chrome.
  21. Instagram. Look him up. He did my fender badges, quality work.
  22. The rainy day fund has been my thoughts forever. I never purchase the extended warranty. I do a lot of the fixes myself, but those I cannot (typically electrical) even after some high repair bills I still come out on top compared to the price of the warranty. Domestic repairs when they do come up are quite manageable in my opinion compared to luxury/german cars, so even when coming out of pocket its not that bad (usually). I should say I can't even complain about German, ive owned all the luxury brands and still do, and even still, fixing when they come up down the road vs. extended warranty still did not warrant the warranty purchase. Just put some funds aside every year so your always prepared, and if all goes well and you never use it, then you have some play money down the road or simply just roll it into your next car
  23. You echoed my thoughts exactly. Interior = Ram, Exterior = GMC (I personally do not like the Chevy). I have 4 Dodge dealership GM's live by me, so I get my fair share of seeing them on the regular and when it comes to comparing certain models I felt unimpressed. I do have the Denali with the 6.2 and 10spd so I cannot compare to the lower models, but for me it checked all the boxes when comparing with the competition. I do agree air ride offers the best for ride feel, I've had it for years on all my previous vehicles and my wife has and still has it, but I do feel the ARC in the denali offers great road feel as well. Much better than lower end models, but still not the same as air, but still quite good. I have zero brand loyalty, well maybe besides German engineered cars, but otherwise I have zero pull in any specific direction. I go with what best fits my needs at that time and price tag. Appreciate your feedback, aligned with what I was thinking about the Ram
  24. I don't see the value in it. If we were talking the Corsa setup then I might agree. Like I said I am all about aftermarket setups if I see the benefit, all my summer cars have full setups from the headers back, Corsa on the Vette, Magnaflow on the Roush, but the GM perf exhaust I do not see the setup matching the price tag. The muffler is basically the XR, which imo is not loud enough. It just doesn't make enough sound for me. Your basically paying the GM tax for the setup. I put a custom mandrel bent setup on mine instead. Your also taking the catback and combining it with the CAI for the numbers, which I'm not denying they are there, but not many are buying both. I also think the GM CAI is overpriced as well, plenty of other choices out there that cost less and look better, and put up good numbers. I'm not after numbers, if that was what I was looking for I'd be looking into heavy engine mods. If I want to go fast, I pull out my car (when its not winter lol)
  25. Happens to us all lol
