  1. Might as well go muffler delete at that point.
  2. Borla ATAK definitely gives the best growl, but they also come with a degree of drone if your after that O/R deep sound. If your wanting little to no drone, you will want to keep some flappers in the system but you will lose some of that rumble. Depends on how much your willing to trade off
  3. Isn't it a 4.3L? or did that change? I almost completely forgot this v6 engine existed.
  4. The GM perf Exhaust basically is Borla Touring. Borla S-Type is quite different than the Borla Touring line, and also why it usually (less you found a deal) costs more. Crate muffler has a different tone/volume imo, and the Borla crates definitely have drone of variable levels, which can be reduced through flappers, resonators, etc. OP I'm sure you will enjoy the Corsa; quality products they put together.
  5. Interested in seeing this write up
  6. Pardon my stupidity here, but what is a reverse level ? Still learning all the truck terminology.
  7. This. borla always have some form of drone unless you put in more resistance, but then what is the point of the muffler at that point.
  8. Contrary to what people always say, Borla has drone when you all straight pipe. It can be minimal but it is still there. I’ve heard keeping a single flapper or two removed the drone completely but you will sacrifice some sound volume. I have the ATAK setup, I love It, no flappers and barely any drone but it is there at times. It is loud though. I have heard good things about the type S muffler, little quieter but still gives off the sound that’s missing with the touring muffler. IMO the gm perf exhaust isn’t worth it because of the touring muffler. Isn’t loud enough for me nor do I think it’s worthy of the price point, which is why I went custom setup instead.
  9. Muffler delete would not be for you, I would not suggest it. Borla Touring quite a few owners enjoy, same muffler as the GM performance exhaust and in my opinion the quietest borla muffler available. If your just looking for a little sound on startup and when you give it some gas, Touring is the direction I'd suggest
  10. You have obviously not heard ATAK's on the 6.2 then, nobody would consider them not loud
  11. I do not believe that is stock height
  12. I too use to have one of the '14 years but the 3.0L, great car, but the electronics on Audi's are so finnicky. By far the worst of all the German brands
  13. Could not agree more. Majority of people come to the forums looking for help or to complain about their vehicles so I'm not shocked by it, but it is refreshing to see OP bring up a positive conversation. I love my truck, wouldn't switch it for anything and I have no regrets/concerns. I've made numerous changes to the appearance which I wish GM would offer from the factory, but then again it allows me to make it my own. Especially the stock exhaust on the 6.2, so weak, but changed that and now I'm loving it (the wife not so much!) I think GM did a great job with the looks and function of the truck
  14. Update.. Meant to post once I had exhaust done. I had the Borla ATAK muffler welded in, removed both flappers and had them fabricate about 3' of tubing for me. It is definitely loud, which I personally like. Would leaving the flappers in quiet it down when just cruising or idling most likely, but I personally don't find it that bad. It has a constant rumble to it at all speeds/rpm and when just cruising can be barely noticeable to unnoticeable. If your not looking for loud I would suggest Borla Type S for similar sound but quieter, or if looking for just a little punch then the Borla Touring. Like I said if kept a flapper or both in would more than likely help with the constant rumble if that bothers you, but IMO anyone worried about that should not be buying ATAK's
  15. Borla Atak, delete both flappers = ?
  16. That shows me exactly what I was wondering and you having done it proves to me it works. Thanks for the pictures. I always see the hammock used how its normally to be used and that just doesn't work unless you have smaller dogs.
  17. I've been wondering about doing exactly what you have done. It is working out well? I love the hammock idea, but my dogs are too big to be loading in every time by hand bombing them in, and jumping that high from the ground themselves they could do but i'm sure the truck would end up with some scratches after a while going that path. I might have to try what you have done. I'm assuming they have the ability to walk around freely on the floor and seats then from how you are describing it?
  18. Steering wheel sounds normal to me, mines warmer on the sides than the bottom, assuming as to do with the wiring at those points. The dash screen will tell you when the phone is charging. That said, I have found it is pretty finnicky, goes off and on, and highly variable phone to phone. Sometimes it charges well, sometimes not. Charges my phone and the wife's usually pretty well. Placement is also key I've found, make sure it sits right at the very bottom.
  19. I would have thought that is one of the reasons to buy the Denali, the ARC technology. I wouldn't delete it, you paid a premium to have it even if you do not like it
  20. Is that stock suspension still? It looks like its been leveled ?
  21. This topic was started a while back with a couple of us going through the same thing with our Denali's Most of the same questions being asked here we already went through with our trucks. Blacking out or reducing the chrome requires: - paint it - vinyl wrap - plasti dip - new parts - live with it I've blacked out my entire truck, mines black, and only thing left now on mine are the door handles which are being vinyl wrapped by my guy whenever he can find time for me. Goodluck!
  22. You better make sure you do the prep properly if doing it yourself, or have it done professionally, the plastic chrome does not hold paint worth a damn if you skip any of the steps prior to painting it.
  23. Most of these are to be just laid as an overlay on the stock emblem. I had a custom set made and that is all there is to it. If you want to remove the inlay, you have to take off the entire fender emblem to access it from the rear
  24. Comes down to 2 options, and if you want to do a very simple plug and play by your knees (more $$) or the plug n play that goes behind the dash, continues to use the button (less $, but requires some labor)
  25. X2 It comes down to needs/wants and just your personal opinion. As others have stated they did not think the extra cost was worth it, while others like myself believe the Denali was the better choice. Don't think you can really go wrong either way, need to make the right choice for yourself, but if it were me I'd get the Denali all over again in a heartbeat
