  1. Worked for me also. Learn button on the back.
  2. The Dealer should be able to cut a new key with your VIN number and not have to use your current key that may be worn which may or may not work or you may want to spend that money on the new ignition switch and keys. Good luck.
  3. Let us know if that solves the problem.
  4. Buy the inexpensive new cable which was posted in this thread from Ebay.
  5. I would look at the bill and see what they did to repair the screen to determine if it was only the cable and if that is the case then they over charged you and I would let the Service Manager know that you are not happy about the cost. Brand new car batteries can go bad sitting in a new car on the Dealers lot and there are many other reasons so your battery going bad is just part of vehicle maintenance unless something is draining the battery which the Dealer can check. The car starting without a FOB and the no start indicates that there is an issue that needs to be fixed. I would talk to the Service Manager and contact GMC customer service. If you get no satisfaction from this Dealer then I would find another GM Dealer. You should not be having these problem but sometimes it happens and it makes it a lot harder when you have kids and being left stranded. I am assuming that you have no warranty since you had to pay for the repair which that money could have gone towards an extended warranty which I would recommend on these vehicles with all the new technology.Repairs can get rather expensive for labor parts and diagnosing electrical issues. I would look on line for Dealers who advertise extended warranties and you should be able to save money over your local Dealer pricing or have them match the on line price. What is the year and mileage of your vehicle?
  6. Contact GMC customer service. The number should be in your owners manual or on line manual if you don't have a hard copy. A quick Google search should also provide the number. With all the electronics on these vehicles I would suggest an extended warranty and I would purchase from an on line Dealer who will have better pricing. Try to stay with the GMEPP warranty. Sounds like the Dealer is screwing you on labor. Good luck.
  7. Robert, did you check with the Dealer to see if they can order the hardware since you have the part numbers.
  8. I would have looked for an Independent Garage.
  9. Lemon Law
  10. I would tell them to replace the tranny.
  11. I would check Ebay. Better Dealer pricing, free shipping and no tax.
  12. I know on the Tahoes the shocks were upgraded from the 2015s and a much better ride.I believe there was a TSB on the rough ride and shocks were replaced. If you drive a 2018 and really like the ride maybe you can get the part # and consider just replacing the shock. I would look on Ebay as pricing is better, free shipping and no tax.
  13. Push the blue button and see if Onstar can troubleshoot it for you.
  14. Do a Google search as there are pictures of how to replace with detailed instructions.
  15. Check these part numbers and see if it is what you are looking for GM part # 22801024 and 22801025. Found these on Ebay.
  16. If the little rock guards are GM parts then go to the GM accessories web page and get the part numbers. Then i would go to Ebay who has better pricing, free shipping and no tax.
  17. There is a difference between the Dealer balancing the tires and having a road force balance. Did you get a print out showing the percentage(I am not an expert but I believe 15 and below is acceptable) at each wheel. If so maybe you could post it and one of the experts on here could give you their opinion. Good luck.
  18. I have a 2017 Chevy Tahoe that has none of the issues you describe. I would search cars.com or autotrader.com and go test drive a vehicle just like yours to see if it exhibits any of the symptoms you described. If not then I would ask the Dealer to fix yours. Sometimes we can get a lemon and if they don't fix it to your satisfaction I would look at the Lemon Law in your state and hire a Lemon Law attorney who usually get paid as part of the settlement and no out of pocket expense to you. We pay way too much for these big GM SUVs to not be happy with what we are driving. And by the way GM is not your friend, they are only there to take your hard earned money. Been there done that. Good luck.
  19. Looks like his was covered under warranty. Buy a condenser online and save some money. Have an AC shop vacuum your system and replace your condenser yourself. Then take it back to the AC shop and have them charge the system with freon. There are pictures on how to do this and maybe a youtube. Just do a Google search.
  20. Have you read all the post on the condenser issues, GM repairing under warranty or doing it yourself with pictures showing how.
  21. At least your drain is really clean. LOL
  22. ChristopherDB, can't you push the blue button and have the onstar adviser enter the address and send it to your truck. I know I can in my Tahoe.
  23. I thought they had extended the warranty to 60,000 miles on the 15,16, and 17 year models.
  24. When it comes to noises I always ride with the tech or Service Manager to make sure they hear it. Too many times they say they can't duplicate which is unacceptable. Be persistent or try another Dealer.
  25. Seat Movement Issues- should be in there some where. Pretty long thread. Good luck.
